I’d be very surprised if he is still another 3 months away. I guess it's how he reacts to the training / set backs.
Menace
Will still take him a while to get up to speed on the pitch - still, what a signing.
Kanj
Nixon has been scouting him since his Ajax days apparently. Think the club see him as the future captain.

SUPERTOON
Worth noting Howe mentioned last week that the final session before a match is very light (no contact). Although it’s a massive positive to see, he will still be a while away.

Wasn’t even back in matchday squads a full year after doing it. Whether Botman will be anywhere near his best is another matter. Some players seem to come back ok. Some take a while to get back to it. VVD, for example. Hard to tell when we have no idea what stage he is at with his training or how his recovery has gone. Has all sounded pretty positive so far. I’d imagine he’ll still get eased in. But I was thinking he was just back with the group doing more controlled drills and stuff like that. Not actually playing. Albeit with reduced contact compared to a real game.

HawK
Burn's done a good job in Botman's absence, but we really miss his recovery pace on that side of the defence. Hopefully he comes back just as fast as before.

TBG
Not to be too judgemental, but I'll be writing him off if he's not fully up to speed in his first game back after being out for ten to eleven months.

I’ll have a sigh of relief that our main backup CB/LB will be Burn at some point over Kelly. Hell we could go a back 3 with Hall and Tino as wingbacks if needed too.
