Nine
I take back what I said about him not being physically up to the RCM position, he might not be able to do it for 90 mins every game but you can see the upside to it. Smal
thought it was his better games of the season. Obviously playing a different role but played some really dangerous and creative passes that we’ve been missing. Assist for Isak is probably a pass that nobody else in our squad can make other than Isak himself.
AJ9
Good today. Loved the positions he was taking.
TRon
Was great on the ball today, pulling the strings again.
Shearergol
Miles better. Not quite back to his best but getting there.
OoOGazOoO
He was very good tonight!
KaKa
Been dying to see him in positions to thread balls through to Isak, and finally we had that today from the outset. Will become a lethal weapon with more game time with him in that position. Love seeing him higher up the pitch. Not a bad free kick for our equaliser at the end too. Kid Icarus
Quieter but 2 assists and Tonali looked good

Kid Icarus
I think we take it for granted how good he is. He loves being on the ball and dictating play and he can be very good at it but he has such a sixth sense for the game in general that I think he's much better being on the ball less but being further forward. 2 assists tonight. Smal
Hopefully he can do both (creating and dictating) as he gets used to playing higher up. He has enough ability. Edited December 4, 2024 by Smal
AyeDubbleYoo
Mugged Mac Allister off several times, always good to see.
Lush Vlad
Yeah. Macallister is somehow less mobile than Bruno
Gallowgate Toon
Love seeing him further forward more often, he's a joyful player when given freedom. His play for the Isak penalty shout was just perfect - the type of ball Tripper used to play regularly that we've massively missed.
Pilko
Thought he had a very good game but thought he looked absolutely shagged in the last 20 minutes or so, he could hardly run at times.
Palestoon
The obvious advantage of him playing higher up is the creativity he adds to our attack. But I think having him be one of the "trigger" men on the press was very effective today. He's not the most athletic, but his reading of the game and timing was critical to us winning the ball back on several occasions. Interested to see if that's another plus of him playing higher up, or if he just happened to be up against one of the only few CMs in the league as immobile as him. Regardless I think having the game in front of him and using his IQ to know when to charge and cut off angles will be a better use of his abilities off the ball. Rather than trying to chase counter attacks as the last man in midfield. Edited December 5, 2024 by Palestoon
buzza
Mcallister had two fierce shots from outside the area, his shooting skills are pretty good. Bruno looks better in the 8 and or double pivot position. So we dont depend on him being the recovery midfielder as he just doesnt have the pace... That and his pace are the only weakness I can think of. That left footer inside the box was so But he is so important especially when we try to beat the press. Never have I seen someone shielding the ball so well and being able to resist the press. Edited December 5, 2024 by KingArthur

Checko
I've never really got this Bruno can't shoot thing. He's always scored goals for us since he came, including outside the box ones, that was supposed to be his weakness but I haven't seen it. He certainly doesn't have a cannon of a shot (which I guess is why people think he can't shoot), but according to FBRef, since he's joined us he has an expected goals of 11.5, he's actually scored 16. All his shooting stats over the last 365 days are well above average. per 90 80th % in goals 76th % shots on target 73th % shots on target % 80th % goals/shot 76th % goals per shot on target 67th % average shot distance 80th % goals minus xG https://fbref.com/en/players/82518f62/scout/365_m1/Bruno-Guimaraes-Scouting-Report Obviously stats are stats, perhaps they look a bit better because he picks his moment to shoot well etc. (though he's stil very high in shots -xG) but there's a lot of evidence he's actually a good shooter. Anyway, I feel the 'he's terrible at shooting' thing is just a bit overblown.
Lush Vlad
I might be wrong. But I think it's to do with how he strikes the ball. He never gets any power into it and you never expect him to beat the keeper from long range. Not necessarily down to his accuracy or finishing ability if he is in a bit closer. It's not a disaster. He is very good at other things. But his shooting is weak as piss, IMO.

In his first season he did score a few from inside the box and that's what we need more of.
