I remember one of his first interviews for us, he said “I want to play one hundred games for Newcastle!”. Just checked - he’s now played 109!

Ready to move on.. Worrying

Our Captain...

Quote

From Tonali - "There is warm appreciation for his supportive team-mates, especially Bruno Guimarães, Joelinton and Miguel Almirón, who rejoined Atlanta United this week. “These three players, they speak Spanish and Spanish and Italian is so similar,” he says. “They were a big help and Bruno, especially, was so important the first three or four months for me.”

just really irritating watching him trying to win free kicks rather than play football . Refs might've finally cottoned onto him as well.

My issue with Bruno is he holds onto the ball too long which tends to result in him losing possession.

I have long tired of him doing this to the extent he does.

The question is, why is he not being instructed to try and move the ball quicker. Especially when we are getting closed down aggressively or quickly.

Joelinton also has an issue with this. But still it continues.

Especially now Sandro can lead by example for quick give and go when needed. It slows our transitions down too much at times.

very poor again, along with Joelinton

Both of them have had more poor games than good games this season tbh.

Was a big mistake making him captain IMO, he doesn't really have any leadership qualities on the pitch, he doesn't organise or motivate like Trippier does. If Howe thought Trippier might have been leaving, he should have been left as captain until it was confirmed he had left

Also win a bloody coin toss once in a while

Motm for me tonight. The defenders all did a stellar job, but there's solid rearguard performances and then there's what Bruno does, which is defend resolutely and carry the ball out of defence, and rattle opponents, and stoke the home crowd, and get involved in more attacking moments. He's just a brilliant, brilliant CM and a true leader in his own right.

Nowhere near man of the match.

Would be immense if he was to be our first trophy lifting captain for a couple of generations. The first purple that gambled and came here. Could argue Trippier but Bruno was still young and his career was just developing.
