in the past we had players come and use us as a springboard to a better wage packet.. it doesn’t seem to be on Bruno’s mind in the slightest

He’s captain of a team on the verge of qualifying for champions league twice in 3 seasons, lifted a cup, automatic first choice, family happy, good wages anyway- he’ll never be short of money .. go elsewhere and what happens?

We’re not that club anymore.

Can someone explain how he’s so good at football yet can’t kick a football properly with power? Find it so odd how he can only scoop shots with spin, digging them out with barely any pace on them. Does he ever try to strike the ball through his laces?

"I'm very much at home and living a dream," he said. "For me to leave, it must be something great for the club, not for me.

"I don't worry about it. I trust the club and my agents. I'm so happy here and I want to stay."

Of course, all the papers running with the 'Bruno speaks to Pep' line.

That corner he took. It was like he had to put every last ounce of effort in his body into just getting the ball near the penalty spot

Difficult one. On one hand you'd be selling arguably one of our greatest players and a massive influence on the curent team. On the other hand it would (for now) quench the forums thirst for a Saudi club buying one of our players.

In his recent interview he said he was very happy here, but I did find it a bit of a statement that he mentioned about any possible deal being good for the club. I'm still convinced that the club were expecting Bruno's release clause to be activated last summer and when it was not, that is when we saw the panic moves started to happen.

For him he is quite happy to stay and is not looking to move. The club though may well decide different if the they receive a big offer nd by what he said in his interview, Bruno accepts this outcome if it does venture forward. That's why getting champions league is key to the strategy of the transfer windows. I'm not saying he will leave, just a few thoughts on what may happen.
