Bruno played as an 8 last season against Forest away I think and played it well. Can't remember who was the deepest player but I think Miley's long term future may be a deeper lying midfielder

I think Miley is quite similar to Bruno in that he could probably do both well but also lacks pace to the extent that he’ll need someone to cover those deficiencies. Plenty of time for him to improve physically, mind.

Played alot as a number 8 in the first season with Shelvey sitting too and bagged a fair few goals.

Would rather he was on the bench. Getting benched for the odd game would be good for his psyche IMO.

Have we won a game without him being involved since he signed?

If we can't win a home game against Wimbledon when he doesn't start then we have bigger problems than we think.

Thought he did well when he came on, only player who was willing to take a high risk pass barring Schar.

We need more risk takers in midfield if we're to break down the buses we're inevitably gonna be playing this year.

Yep. Showed just how big a miss he is when he's out of the team.

Looked back to his best today, everything good was going through him. Felt like his efforts were a bit wasted with some of the sloppy stuff going on around him sadly.

Yeah. He seemed to be everywhere. Very unlucky not to score and all. Ndiaye knew fuck all about that and was pure luck to keep it out.

He can’t hit a standing ball with pace, doesn’t ever shoot through his laces, always curls side footed. It can work if there’s pace on the ball already but he can’t generate otherwise. Hopefully we see less shots like yesterday’s from now on as it’s just a waste

It’s a tough one with him.
He's our most talented and creative midfielder but we play him furthest away from the oppo box as is possible in our normal set up.

He’s also probably the most press resistant midfielder so that makes him 1st choice to get the ball off of the defenders.

Ideally I’d like another player to be collecting the ball from the back and Bruno to be a link further forward.

Aye. We lack technical ability in midfield and attack.  This is why I was so keen on a creative RW.

it’s also why I’m so keen for this team to press aggressively. We’ve built such a physical side. Go out and be physical then.
