Bruno getting absolute pelters from Brazilian fans on social media again tonight, I searched his name on Twitter after the match and it's horrendous. Screenshot_20241120_025800_Chrome.thumb.jpg.ee8c99913a4ec0e855a344b6f325d829.jpg

I watched the game and in my opinion he was one of Brazil's best players. He got turned for the goal outside of the box, but he never give the ball away, passing rate was excellent and he played 4 sublime through balls during the match. The Brazil fans need to look further up field as to who is to blame as Brazil dominated the match

Wait, do Brazilians treat Bruno like our fans treat Longstaff?

That sounds about right. He gets horrific abuse after every game on Twitter. I don't know whether all of the players are subject to the same abuse but Bruno does not seem to be appreciated at all in Brazil (I know social media amplifies these things, and reading a couple of dozen tweets doesn't mean it's representative of the whole nation).

Brazilians fans can be pretty weird/ out of touch from my experience. Argued many times with a good mate of mine from Brazil who’s adamant that Newcastle would get relegated in the Brazilian league; I’ve said -and I stick by this- that’s it’s far more likely we’d do an Arsenal-style invincible season than get relegated.

Damn that's some crazy delusion. I hope you explained to him that Europe takes all the best Brazilian players and they are left with what's left plus Jamal Lewis.

Poor game and what's worse the limping and holding his hip. He seems the type to always play when fit and we have been lucky with his injury record but I think he plays too much.

Issue is we aren't the same side without him hope it's just a precaution and he's OK

Hopefully the scouts from Man City were in tonight because we'll have a much better chance of keeping him on showings like that.

He isn’t good enough for a full strength Man City.

Actually thought that much like everyone else he had an excellent first half. Sliding doors moments and all that but I thought it was notable that when he blocked a ball down the line at 2 down he didn't do his gee up the crowd thing. Looked tired and laborious 2nd half.
