I think that's more to do with his lack of athleticism and not because of his form, which has as much to do with how the rest of the team are playing as much as what he's producing. I think the PL is played at such a pace most teams would sacrifice a touch of skill for someone with a bit more mobility within reason. Is Rice more valuable than Bruno for example? Totally agree, said this since day one. He has a fantastic engine but in a lower gear. He lacks a turn of pace or real speed to be considered world class. He's fantastic at receiving the ball under pressure and protecting it and recently he has showed more of his vision to pick a pass higher up the field. I definitely feel he has levels to go, if playing further forward, with confidence and with better options around him. Not sure Longstaff, Murphy, Joelinton etc are on his footballing brain level. As a 6 he is too easily bypassed by speed and never recovers to get back, he needs to stay as an 8 from now until the end of the season or until he does sack it off, in my humble opinion. I still think he can be a top 4 player for what it's worth, just would need some legs around him, and yes, probably playing alongside a dedicated no 6 who can cover gaps when he loses the ball on the odd occasion. He'd be great playing for City alongside a Rodri for example, but a disaster in the current City team which has too many players with the same profile. Yeah, I think we all know he'll be great in the city midfield once Rodri and their shite streak is over. Sadly he might never fulfil his potential here. We’re better off getting £65m and a couple of their highly rated youngsters (Lavia level etc).

He's allegedly on £130k a week while Bruno is on £160k (going by consensus of all the websites that report it when you google them). Don't think money plus Nunes is such a bad idea in theory. ExiledGeordie
I wouldn’t be opposed to selling Bruno to help fund a different type of midfielder or other areas of the team
Lush Vlad
Assuming our most sellable assets are Bruno, Isak and Gordon and we are considering moving one on so that we can rebuild the squad. I’d sell the latter before the other two. Not even close, for me.

I thought he was an attacking midfielder who can play as a cm/b2b, but he's also been used on the wing by Pep on a few sub appearances. Haven't watched him (or paid attention to him specifically) enough to say really.
The College Dropout
Nunes has been in the PL for 2.5 seasons and never consistently played well. Dont know how he even got the Man City move.

I'm not sure his or the team's performances are helping his value. Not suggesting he wants to leave or that we should sell him. Just that I think he is more easily replaced than Bruno and Isak if we HAVE to go down that route. I think Isak is understandably going to want away unless our performances suddenly do a 180 and we start playing well consistently and racking up some wins. I think the others will have less suitors for the money we'd want and are less likely to be demanding to move.
Holmesy
I think at this stage we need a mini rebuild. It's difficult to imagine the team without players like Bruno because he has been our talisman and standout midfielder for a couple of years, but if we replaced him with a quality #10 and bought an effective right winger with the proceeds, it could be the catalyst to kick us on. It's hard not to be sentimental in these situations but we'd move on quickly if we started climbing the league again
