McDog
Going to be fun watching this guy in Feb. I can't wait!
McCormick
Another thing I like about those compilations is that it looks like he’s already used to players scuffing chances after he’s beautifully played them through. Perfect.

The Prophet
I still can't believe we've signed this lad. When there was talk we'd put a bid I was sure it was absolute non-starter.
Conjo
Perfect signing. Can't wait to see him in action.

elbee909
""If anyone here is afraid to play, pass the ball to me because I want to play and win this trophy." Get in.
SiLvOR
Will fully admit I knew nothing of this guy at all, not even a FIFA signing. But watching the clips, seeing the hype, man I'm excited. I just hope we have enough to survive this season, and I'm sure Bruno is going to be a massive part of that. I just really want us to kick on next year and start to turn this club into everything we all know it can be.

Yeah i've convinced myself on the back of some others' opinions and some YT scouting, that's he's already our best midfielder in 25 years before he's kicked a ball So crucial we stay up this year and he will be a huge part of that effort. The summer window if we stay up will be mad. Edited January 30, 2022 by LionOfGosforth
Guest HTT II
I think it would be wise to temper expectations and excitement at the start, because it will take time for him to adjust to the pace and physicality of our league regardless of how good he is. Not necessarily.

Definitely. Give the lad a chance to unpack at least.
joeyt
I remember Mikel Merino's first few games and he just oozed class straight away

It's up to the rest of the team to step up as well and ease his transition and hopefully everyone's level will creep up as well.

Probably a signing that benefitted agents/Ashley personally the most…

Probably a signing that benefitted agents/Ashley personally the most… Did he not insist on it himself. I seem to remember he was preferring a move back to Spain at the time, so it would make sense that he was prepared to take a chance with Rafa, but with a get out of jail card. Probably a signing that benefitted agents/Ashley personally the most… Reason he came here was becasue he didn't get enough play time at Dortmund, and insisted on a release clause in case he didn't get enough play time here. In retrospect, unfortunately for us, Shelvey and Diame somehow was one of the best midfield pairs in the league for 4-5 months and it didn't look like he'd get much time on the pitch the following season either so he bailed. Much more prefer someone like that, who's hungry to play, compared to some of the players we currently have on our books who'll be clinging on to their contracts until the very last day even if they'll never even experience the smell of grass on a match day because they won't be able to get a better deal elsewhere than they're currently on here.
