Takes a ton of pressure off Botman coming back from the injuries and also takes pressure off Thiaw needing to come straight in and excel in the first team. Those two can just be gradually introduced at the right moments when Burn or Schar need a rest, and in some of the weaker cup games. Think we're in great shape with the 4 centre back options. wiseman
How did he cost only 12million, I really struggle to split whose our best signing of the last decade, him or Trippier.
Menace
Doesn't look to show any signs he's slowing down either - he's our Thiago Silva.

Him without a doubt- no drama, nothing he just is, he’s that NPC that’s there solid through the whole game like Gerald’s Horse.
nemtizz
One of the best sights in football is this man coming across from a mile away to the left hand side to put in an inch perfect slide tackle.
Cronky
He looks slow and very awkward in possession, but somehow he gets away with it.

STM
I think what's ignored is how a player in his 30s has improved so much.

Chicken Dancer
Honestly if he was European he would get so much more recognition across the country. I do think he’s starting to get a lot more credit now though. He’s absolutely class, hope he’s got a good few year left in him yet. Genuinely fucking buzzing for him and buzzing as a fan that he did actually get a chance to play for us, and regularly feature as one of key players in the most successful side in generations. His story should inspire thousands of young lads up and down the country who think their life is over when they’re let go at a young age. Absolutely adore him and hope he’s gets in the World Cup squad, he thoroughly deserves it.

I think between LB getting a bit much for him and Fab automatically getting the plaudits for his play on the ball, that part of Burn's game is severely underrated. I'd take him over well over half the league's CBs on the ball.

kingxlnc
We’ve got Englands starting CB. We’ve never had that, even Woodgate or Howey were never a regular

Kanj
He’s the best English CB imho. Prove me wrong.
John P
I think he's improved a lot on the ball in the last 12 months. Doesn't go for anything too ambitious, but he hardly ever misplaces a pass now, and he turned out of some awkward situations really well yesterday. Love him
Heron
CB is the strongest position in the squad in terms of strength of depth. Currently Burn and Schar cannot be dropped based on performance.
Ghandis Flip-Flop
Aye I’ve seen it said elsewhere, but he hasn’t half turned out class considering he was a cheap, stop-gap signing that first window. I think he's shown himself to be a better purchase than the player we were initially chasing Diego Carlos (remember him?)
