Think he could always play a bit tbh, that's why he got used at full back, even at Brighton. It was the lack of pace he was getting pelters for, but he doesn't often leave himself in a position to get exposed for the most part. Colossal performance today, great on the ball as well.

I think he could even benefit of having a pacier centre half next to him in Thiaw. I was ready to bin Burn after the CL season I am so glad to be so wrong, he has been a monster for us.

Honestly I think Schär Burn are probably our best CBs in my lifetime. Schär because he just is, and Burn purely because for all we had Woodgate, Albert etc, you just cannot deny Burn.

There's no doubt in my mind he will be. Tuchel has said you rarely use all 23 players at a tournament so he'd take a few characters, so even if the big lad's form drops off a cliff I imagine he'll still be there for the intangible qualities he brings. It's why we should all make peace with the fact Jordan Henderson will be there too.
