To be honest, I imagine both a LB and a CB are on the list for the Summer, especially considering we will likely be playing some form of European football. 

 

Think we will get in a young CB who will slowly (over the course of next 12-18 month) been phased in in place of Schar. And I think ideally Howe want's the left side to carry the same attacking threat as the right, which means an LB who is far more accomplished in the attacking areas of the game. Lewis and Lascelles will likely both be on their way in the Summer, BDB becomes a great squad option who can step in at LB or CB without missing a beat. Targett a more dedicated back-up LB.

Probably had his worst game for us today! I'd like to see him subbed for a more attacking fullback when we are pushing for a goal.

Teams seem to be targeting him now. I really don't think he has the pace to be a left back, he looks slow and is making pretty significant mistakes.

Only singling him out in that he looks the most knackered and therefore had the worst performance. He's obviously a good player.

He looks absolutely shattered. I mean we basically have no other LB cause Dummett doesn't count. 

 

We need Targett back asap for Dan to have a rest.

Looks like a centre half playing left back. Simple as that. Until Targett is fit though he's the only option.

Feel bad for him as he comes across as likeable, did well first half of the season but performances have been poor for a while. Ideally should be a bench player but our lack of quality across the squad forces us to play him.

He has looked the weak link for a while. Whilst still being solid enough at the back. Seems to be getting more and more exposed, though. Plus he offers nothing going the other way. 
 

All well and good saying we should drop him. But who for? Dummett, Ritchie or Lewis?

Don’t have many options, Ashby at right back and Trippier to left? Wouldn’t want Lewis stinking things out.
