How many times did they get to cross the ball into the box in this match? They’re absolutely awful with no quality in the side apart from Diangana who’s decent at this level but if you get that many balls in eventually something will come of it

Never minded Leicester until I went for a browse on their foxesforum when we bid for Maddison. The amount of posters having the cheek to call us a smaller club, ridiculing our bid and basically just being extremely derogatory towards us was infuriating. They've been a nothing club for over 100 years until 5 years ago and suddenly they're billy big bollocks   I'm enjoying seeing them stinking up the place being bottom of the league. Could be in a relegation fight

theyve  won 3 league cups, an fa cup and a premier league since we lifted our last domestic trophy.

Were also allowed to go bust, write off a fuck load of debt and start again without any kind of punishment since we lifted our last domestic trophy...

doesnt change what they've acheived.

i hate them but they're another club who have been more successful than us for winning trophies.

we're just as deluded.

Yeah fair enough they've won a few trophies and in the last 5 or 6 years they've been brilliant and a joy to watch. When discussing big clubs it is something which other fans can rightly always point at us as we've won fuck all domestically since the 50s.

I certainly don't feel deluded about the fact I think we're a bigger club than Leicester still. They were in League One about 10 year ago and they've spent more time in the 2nd division throughout their history then in the top league and have only ever finished in the top five 6 times in their history whereas we've finished in the top five 26 times.

I would say in terms of appeal for players they were more attractive but that was due to both clubs owners. A player would prefer Newcastle now imo. It was more the fact their fans were calling us a step-down for Maddison and other crap about us being a shit team etc. I'd still probably really like them if I'd never lurked on there

Who cares how 'big' a club is? It's a childish and pointless debate. Take Man U and Liverpool, undeniably two of the biggest clubs in the world by every metric and yet wherever you go, you're met with clueless plastic fans of both (not so many Man Utd 'fans' nowadays, but you know they'll be back if they pick up). It's the price of success. They both have their real supporters but the ones mouthing off on twitter that they're a massive club are plastic fans. I don't take this type of fan seriously. I'd love to see either club have half a decade of being genuinely shit and I don't mean 7th place. Let's see them battle relegation year after year with no hope of anything in the short or medium term future, with any half decent players being poached and playing their peak years elsewhere. Then you'll see who's left.

We might end up as 'big' as they are but what I love about Newcastle - and any fan will feel this about their own club - is what makes us different: the unique combination of a big city centre stadium relative to the population of our city and region, a one-club city obsessed with the sport, a city that broke all attendance records after a second relegation within a decade, all after half a century without a trophy and 15 years without anything to hope for. Other clubs will have their own reasons for feeling they're different to everyone else and rightly so because there's so much history in our game. You look at the 'big clubs' and you have several generations of fans there who have no concept of struggle. To me, Newcastle is the biggest club in the world and I'm sure Palace fans for example will feel the same about their own club inside. The game became commercialised ages ago and all that 'big club' stuff comes from people who see clubs as brands and don't 'get' what the game is about. If we emulate those clubs' successes then we'll attract those arrogant twats too, but they won't be our genuine fans.

Looking forward to the Merseyside Derby. An absolutely appalling referee decision in the first 5 mins to overheat things please.

Was just thinking, fuck me I'm not sure who I want to lose more.

A draw would be a nice result- bar that Everton win. Wipe that smile off Klopps face.

Evertonian mate from uni and STH at Goodison has been on the drink since 7:30  god

I done similar for a few of the Tyne-Wear affairs, including the 5-1. Woke up the next day not quite sure whether the result was real or not.
