Out of all those clubs that he's managed, how many of those fans actually appreciate the 'work' Bruce did for their club? Must only be Hull and maybe Wigan?

Hull and Wigan and deservedly so tbf. Birmingham as well up to a point.

The amount of years Bruce has been a manager for and got away with it is an incredible feat in itself. Even after being found out again and again, with the exception of his time at Hull and Wigan maybe (even a broken watch is right twice a day), it is utterly amazing! I can only assume Bruce's entire career has been possible by getting favours from people he's befriended and having an innate ability to target gullible club owners. I've worked with project managers like him who've drifted through their career, bullshitting their way in each job while knowing absolutely nothing, then moving on when they've been rumbled - but with Bruce he's had the bonus that football clubs actually have to pay him off when he's found out. Incredible.

Part of the problem with why this turd can’t be flushed is this weird thing in English football culture that a lot of experience in a relegation scrap means that they are the best managers for relegation threatened teams. Bruce often found himself in relegation scraps strictly because he is dog shit at this. Being praised for your experience at being shit is just fucking bizarre. Yet so many buy into it since it is repeated like a mantra.

No doubt we'll hear, 'He's not came back the same person since his Newcastle experience', even though his Villa experience was almost identical. He should never have left Sheff Wed.

You should never have left his villa in Portugal.

Redknapp was 20 times the manager Bruce will ever be, to be fair. Played attacking football, actually won something, liked his flair players, bought well more often than not, improved players more often than not, wasn't dismissive of fans or the media and despite being a bit PFM, he evolved with the game in terms of modern tactics and stuff.

Including with two teams that should have been challenging for promotion (and were before and after him), Bruce has won 14 out of 55 in the championship. (37 out of his last 131 league games overall)

*and this is being generous because after he was appointed at Sheffield Wed he took time off (not sure exactly when) but they were unbeaten for a couple month, won two of the last seven when Brucie was definitely around
