sunderland in the EFL

It is really time these Sun'lin gimps stopped kidding themselves that they give even the smallest shit about Global Human Rights, they don't care that many clubs, several Premier League occupiers, are owned by Middle Eastern organisations / individuals / Kingdoms....  All they care about is that their nearest rivals and for a few years a team they regularly beat has been lucky to be purchased by hugely wealthy owners and more importantly fully engaged stakeholders in the fortunes of the club and so as a result will take regular large strides away from them in status, standard and ultimately (if not already) be completely out of reach for them.

I cannot wait for the day that we get to play them again, it will be brutal !

I find it hilarious that they cannot grasp the fact that teams that finished 20 - 30 points ahead of them last season are struggling in the Premier League and yet in their tiny heads and minds they would be able to give most of the Premier League a lesson in football and even give PSG and Milan a beating.

"PSG can’t even top their domestic league, Milan are a shadow of their former selves, Dortmund minus Bellingham. You literally couldn’t have hand picked a more appealing group for the Saudi’s."

Jesus

The rest of the footballing world called it the group of death... but to this happy mackem it's the most appealing group of all.

Whos willing to bet 'Helmerroids' was loving the draw a month ago and we were going to lose all 6 games in embarrassing failure?

Must mean they back us to go far in the competition. If they think Dortmund, PSG and Milan are easy opponents, how many hard opponents are left in the tournament?

"They got Real Madrid in the quarter finals, rigged! FTM."

Tbh, that post is being called deluded by a lot of them as well.

First post yapping on about how PSG have spent lots of money but are bang average.

How does that work then if they think the only reason we're having success is because we've spent money?

"Passion and effort"

That will be why the three teams that came up are dripping in wins...

We'll soon be worked out and undone.  Just like they said last year.

That’s just simple mackematics baby. Zidane Neil and Paddy Roberts would improve all those teams.

Their delusion about their team is incredible. Not one of their players would get anywhere near our team or PSG for that matter. They play some decent stuff (not as good as what they state mind), but they would be torn a new one if they were ever promoted.

Eddie Howe matched Bournemouth up through several leagues starting on minus 12 and kept them in the prem for five seasons and his teams were never found out, that’s because there’s nothing to find out as he just gets them fitter and more organised. “That bloody Eddie Howe always taking the easy route to winning by putting in the hard work”

There's a thread about a couple of their fans going to the PSG game and they're being dismissed not real Sunderland fans, scum etc.

Kevin Ball, who would get on their Mount Rushmore (is a thread stating so) did exactly the same. Took his kid to our Champions League games. Stated as much, openly, on TV. Wonder how they're wrestle with that.

*Also saw Paul Bracewell as a candidate for their Mount Rushmore. He gave us really good service, I've nothing against him and he's clearly a much better player than Ball ever was based on careers but he wouldn't have threatened getting on the Mount Rushmore of any starting XI he was in for us never mind of all time.

What do they not bloody understand?

They were light years behind Luton, Burnley and Sheffield United last season who were promoted easily as the best three from that league and yet are struggling like hell in the Premier League, the standard of the Championship gets lower and lower each season and yet a couple of wins for them and suddenly they expect that they would give European elite teams a good game of football and are definitely of Premier League standard....

Honestly they are ridiculous at times and that forum brings out the absolute nutcases.

Don't think they were lightyears behind luton, could have easily come up if a red card went their way in the playoffs, but yes, the other 2 were miles ahead of them.

Think they'd be looking at breaking a record low of points if they came up and didn't spend £100m on the squad. Saying that, they've got about 4 or 5 players who could potentially make it in the PL, it's just whether they can keep them all together by adding the same quality every year and having a genuine pop at a promotion push.

Last season was lucky, but this season they look good for it, especially since its a mixed bag of starts for the relegated teams. If Leeds & Southampton get their shit together then it'll be the same 3 that went down, going straight back up. It's probably then where the real test begins on trying to keep those players for another shot at promotion, and going off  what we've seen in the PL so far, it'll be 3 weak teams going straight back down giving 24/25 season the best chance to go up for any team who get it together.

They were the real winners again though.

Bested us in wits again whilst the Champions League is "the forgotten man" of competitions anyway, so the jokes on us.

Nobody watches Champions League

Aye that'll be because viewers around the world were scrambling to find live coverage of Sunlin's win against the mighty Watford instead. Championship gets better viewing figures than Champions League marra, simple mackematics.

When the draw was made it was 'they'll not get a point'

Now it's 'shit group anyway '
