Looking forward to the 12pm kick-off and the 12 hour round trip.

Cunningly, we've found a work around for the noon kick offs, which is starting drinking at 6am. Went and met my ex's brother for a pint at 6 in the Black Horse in Monkseaton one year before getting on a coach leaving from there. I can tell you that a pint of San Miguel and a stripper at that time is quite stomach churning. It was still pitch black outside.

Managed to leave the room in time. But these are truly awful and honestly the luckiest team I've ever seen. Absolutely hideously bad.

For Sheff Utd to throw it away like that was fucking insane.

Anything is possible naturally, but Leicester and Southampton both came up last season having just had long spells in the top flight, with Leicester having won the League and FA Cup not that long ago, and they've both come up and had historically bad seasons, with a much much higher base than Sunderland. It will be a massive struggle for them next season, especially given their squad is so young.

My dad is a Sunderland fan and fully expects them to go straight back down (I travelled to the north east to watch it on tv with him as he was watching it alone) but understands it’s necessary to take them to the next level.

By October, the mackems will hate all their players, will hate the manager and want him out, they'll hate the owner and they'll hate each other and be offering each other out on RTG!

If things go really really wrong, change October to September.

It’s no win for us though. We win and it doesn’t count according to them because we’re not a real club anymore. Lose and we lose.

‘According to them’ is the key phrase here

Leicester, Ipswich and Southampton have pretty poor fan bases like, these and Leeds have decent ones and the home atmospheres will be good. That will be make a slight difference.

Feel like all this Southampton comparison is well off, its a freak season for a team to get a points total that small, it hardly ever happens.

Sunderland aren't starting next season with the same 11 as they finished this, theyll get players in, absolutely no guarantee whatsoever theyll go down. Are sides like Forest, Brentford, Bournemouth ( who are going to lose a few big players) really going to have a season as good as this again? West Ham aren't any good, there's evrry chance theyll have a fighting chance.

I need to log off like, I'm fuming, already upset the wife as she was saying how good it is that it'll make next sesson interesting with the Derby games as I threw my phone across the room when the second went in.

Are you really bothered what those inbred cunts think? We win, and we can just keep laughing at how far ahead we are of them. It will just be another comfy blanket to add to their increasing number

Good shout.

They'll be shouting for "Keano" at some point.

On today’s showing Sunderland just need to buy a new goalkeeper, defence, midfield and attack and they should be ok. They got completely bullied by shef utd, they will get massacred next season, they really aren’t ready for the premier league in the slightest. No premier league goalkeeper is letting that shot in.

Keeper is fine. Got some decent defenders (bar LB) but need a mobile CB to partner Ballard. Mid is very young, so need experience in there. Henderson would be perfect. It's the final end of the pitch where they struggle. Wingers are ok at Championship level, but the biggest area is a striker. As we know you need to spend daft money to get anything close to a 10 goal striker in the league, and its still a gamble. Wonder if Vardy would fancy it there?
