16/5 for Stoke might be a canny bet today, sunderland might put out a reserve side and the crowd will be shit

I've got £16 on this

Could probably count on one hand with digits to spare the amount of times they've filled that ground for a cup tie

Just had a look on rtg and they are complaining it was too expensive at £20 (15 for season ticket holders). Should have been a fiver and kids for a quid😀

They didn’t seem to have a problem paying £32 for this stage last season…

Had a peak on rtg to see the selfsuck at their amazing attendances, and found a thread where they are discussing the fact some think their squad is already capable enough to fight it out with lower levels PL clubs.

Ffs they aren't even top of Champo.

It wasn't that long ago they thought they could give PSG, Milan and Dortmund a game. It was only last week they wanted Spurs in the FA cup 4th round because we'd just beaten them so obviously they could too.

Downplaying them a bit...Bellingham loser version, o Nein, and Neil would walk in to any team and are collectively worth 400m...just the powers that be and the magedia keeping them down

Well I for one am raging that they have signed someone on loan who I’d never heard of, had to google that his name wasn’t made up, and has flopped at an average Roma side.

Also, going to be gutted tomorrow when I go to the Bromley match and our attendance is absolutely nowhere what their attendance is today.

I know it’s hard times for everyone and the start of January but dear me! How much were the tickets? We’ve sold out paying £30 vs Bromley

Wasn’t very hard at the start of last January for them.

Funny cos on Turtle Sport the other night some Mackem text in saying something along the lines of NUFC fans are obsessed with attendances but we wouldn’t be interested in talking about them come Monday after they’ve had a bigger crowd than us.

Delewded.

As a PL side I'm sometimes not even confident we will beat a good championship side, yet in some of their heads they are almost misplaced in the championship and should be fighting it out in the PL because they have a few youngins coming through.

I did think when reading it that there'll be people reading this from other parts of the world who've never been to Sunderland or heard a mackem speak who'll be reading that thinking it's a foreign language.

If I read it out loud, I can just about make out its something to do with production at the Nissan plant. (Guessing they're having a hernia over Honda merging with Nissan and probably closing the site)

Peak season for Juke production mate. We’ve got a huge Nissan site needing every employee making Jukes mate.

I think?

Translation is:

It’s peak season for Juke production my friend and we have a huge Nissan site which needs every employee making Jukes my friend

My nanna and all my ancestors on her side were from Monkwearmouth so I learnt to decipher Makem as a kid

As a pure bred Makem she was also partial to telling fibs, like insisting our Great Uncle was the man who discovered the North Pole. He’d actually never left Wearside

Do they never learn

Remember "setting the transfer window on fire" and "mags green with envy" in 2011?

...

...Craig Gardner, Ji Don Wan, Connor Wickham, Elmo and Wes Brown

Connor Whickham was a decent transfer, I was disappointed when we didn't go for him as Andy Carrol's replacement when he left for Liverpool.  He suffered a really bad injury and was never the same player when he came back so he's always going to be a could have been.

The rest of that list were laughably shite though.
