Who is going to pay top prices when they know who the bottom 3 are going to be before a ball is kicked? I realise most interest is always at the top of the table, but if the title is wrapped up early doors the focus automatically shifts to the bottom. We were involved last season, but the 'race for Europe' has limited appeal globally. I'm not suggesting that Sunderland will (or even come close to) stay up but I genuinely hope 1 of them, Leeds or Burnley buck the recent trend. The new TV rights deal begins next season and this time lasts for 4 seasons.

I'd have thought globally more people would be interested in who misses out on Champions League between the likes of us, Chelsea, Villa etc than who stays up between the likes of Sunderland, Burnley, Wolves etc. People outside of their respective areas couldn't really give a toss I'd imagine. Obviously an exciting title race is what really matters.

I’m a bit conflicted, the gap between divisions is becoming ridiculous and I always find myself backing the underdog. But if Burnley become an established PL club, where on Earth are we going to go goalkeeper shopping? Guess it’ll have to be Leeds (…not much in it mind!). No-one abroad gives a solitary shite about the relegation battle. The other clubs are basically cannon fodder - the interest doesn’t expand past the big boys. Absolute weapons. I didn't know anything about their pie-in-the-sky plans for a massive Pinewood-on-Wear studio until I looked on there but what an absolute pipe dream that was. Fuck them, all the stupid cunts seemed to talk about was was a shift of focus from our glorious city to their insignificant suburb. Well, that isn't happening. Cant wait to see these shitheels get turned over every week. Gonna be fun...

Been there twice in the past 12 months and on both occasions it was like being in the land of the living dead. I implore anyone to spend an hour at some point just walking around their city centre. Seriously it's a hell of an eye opener.

Another factor which had a significant detrimental impact on international student recruitment last academic year was the riots. A lot of international students who were planning to study in the UK had second thoughts as they didn't want to come to study in a country where they would possibly be made to feel unwelcome. Something else which their resident doylems contributed towards. Edited July 7, 2025 by deejeck

Wallsendmag
I know he's a stand up comic and hes up there to get laughs but he's genuinely spot on there. Your typical Brexit towns, your Burnleys, your Sunderlands etc would genuinely benefit from some form of controlled immigration into their areas but the irony is that those sort of places are the ones who are against that the most. Sima
Creased at Biffo the Cuck's two stabs at a joint pre-takeoverNewcastle/Sunderland XI Given Debuchy. Bould. Albert. Gray. Lee. Schwartz. Cabaye. Beardsley. Shearer. Philips. Sorenson Makin Bould Colocini Beresford Speed Lee Swartz Reyna Beardsley Shearer Also Seb Larsson and Asamoah Gyan over Rob Lee and Peter Beardsley.
