You post more about Sunderland than JK Rowling does about Trans women.

 My hate for the cunts goes back to the 70s. Mind they are a different breed now. Totally broken, insecure and relying on constant bullshit and lies to try and alternate history. I mean the latest that Geordie is a reference to people from Monkwearmouth 1200 years ago, is probably their worst attempt yet.

Must admit I don't have the same hatred I once had for them. I find them more amusing than anything else these days. Late 80s through to early 90s I really didn't like them but then Keegan came and we both went in different directions. Throughout most of the 1990s I actually disliked Man Utd far more than Sunderland as they were the team that was stopping us winning the League and the FA Cup in 1999. Even the Charity Shield match really pissed me off.

Then Ashley came and slowly dragged us down to their level and those cunts lapped it up and with nothing else to really focus on under his regime they once again became relevant to me.

Fast forward to Ocober 2021 and the footballing landscape in the NE changed forever. They were Division 3 and even more irrelevant to me than they were in the mid 90s. I seen how much it broke them. How desperate they'd become. They were embarrassing themselves on a Daily basis, whether that was on their RTG forum, or other Social media platforms. We absolutely consumed them, ruined them and I just found it funny and imagined how devastated I'd have been had the roles been reversed.

They have one focus this season. Finish 17th place. They'll do well to achieve that. Remember how demoralising it was for us every year under Ashley when that was the aim. It all felt rather pointless because inevitably after a while you knew we'd slip through the trapdoor. That's all they've got to look forward to now, whilst we're going to be fighting it out at the top end of the League, playing Champions League again and are one of the favourites for the 2 Domestic Cups, one of which we hold. Again just imagine for a moment if it was the other way around.

When you see all their desperate rants on RTG or X or whatever just remember the hurt and the desperation that is behind each and every one. They know they'll never get close to us again and it absolutely kills them. To be honest I understand it.

I find it weird the difference between the mackems I know who are fine, good mates, we help each other out to get time off for games and are honest about our teams and the RTG lot, only one, an acquaintance more than mate, fits the RTG type.

I know one lad who fits the RTG type exactly

And what's really odd to me is that he's well educated, has a high profile job in a highly regarded industry, is generally a very pleasant sane person who you would perceive to be level headed and able to look at the local rivalry with some sense of perspective and balance

But when I speak to him it's always.....sold your soul for blood money, you endorse human rights abuse, you must hate gay people, you approve of murdering journalists, Fender is a fake, Mike Ashley was a good owner, plastic fans etc etc etc

I've been in a scenario where I got lectured on how evil Saudi Arabia is, then in the next breath I'm hearing how he'd been to Riyadh in the hope of landing some new business over there

I get all that but my hatred of them will never shrink. I had to work amongst them for many years and trust me many of them if not most are horrible people. They despise anything to do with the wonderful City of Newcastle.

I couldn't understand why RTG got so upset  ( multiple multiple threads) over Sam Fender, Geordie nation ( one throw away sentence from an off the cuff interview decades ago), depictions of the Angel of the North, shirt counting, Newcastle Airport location.

Someone up thread mentioned it, identity.

Yet another Sam Fender thread started yesterday, their latest shirt counting thread is over 30 pages and nearly 50 000 views.

I've lived with a couple of mackems when I was at Uni.  One was a cracking lad, great to have a few pints with and chat about football or whatever was going on.  The other was the bellend's bellend.  I don't ascribe either of these personalities to them being mackems, you just get dickheads and canny lads wherever you have people.

I think even for the most sane mackems, they just hide their hatred of all things Newcastle well. The mask slips every now and then.

I've one mate who genuinely finds RTG and the whole 'FTM' shite embarrassing, to the point where we send each other photos every time we see an FTM licence plate (trust me, there's so many).

I bet you're still one of those 'mags at work' on a made up RTG post though.

The address of it literally states Newcastle Upon Tyne. Do they expect planes to be landing on the town Moore or something? 😂. Only airport remotely city centre in the entire country is London City.

I know what you mean but I genuinely find them more as a source of amusement these days. They've actually turned themselves into a parody of a fanbase these days.
