The excuse book is out in full swing for their shit attendance. Nissan holidays, too expensive and when pointed out about the tickets sold for our upcoming games, the last resort of catchment area comes up. This despite the clubs only being 13 and a bit miles apart, and the fact that they go ballistic on the number of 'Durham Mags' there are. Looking forward to the excuses for when the mass gaps for midweek games are prevalent. So much for being excited at the first opportunity to see their new 'statement signings' in the flesh.

Seen someone saying it was a club decision to only have a small attendance.

They’re priceless, the precious little gimps. Real Madrid self perception, Real Valladolid actual situation.

Club really go for it, spending best part of £150m to give it a real go this season and still nobody turns up to back them. Always the same at that place outside of League games when they can’t pad the place out with heavily discounted season tickets and dole out free tickets to schools, Universities etc left, right and centre no bugger turns up.

Bit of a shame for KLD, nobody shouts about how good their fans are more than the mackems themselves and he's been hoodwinked, but no matter what he does they won't turn up in consistently big numbers unless they are given the incentive of cheap or heavily discounted tickets.

If they charged what we charge that crowd they got yesterday wouldn't be too different from their usual League crowds.

Apparently they put local landmarks on their tops so we've copied them. No, I've no idea what they're on about either.

We have done it loads in the past . Another bullshit lie from the inbred cunts

Looked like Leeds had a full-house at their friendly. And they've been yo-yoing between the divisions for years, this is a 10year. generational high for the mackems, money has been spent and things should be at a fever pitch and you still cant drag the majority of them to a game if its not a league game.

That attendance does look to be suspiciously low mind, considering the spending and wholesale changes they've made?

Would be shocked if that's because they just couldn't be fucked, but nothing surprises me with them.

Father in law was there (thankfully he's a Newcastle fan) and he said the other sections were closed because they're "finishing them off" or something. Could have been doing stuff with the concourse.

Apparently they found Lord Lucan riding Shergar through the upper concourse.

They had a half empty stadium for Juventus and less than half-empty stadium for Ajax at the height of the famous Keano era (their Keegan era) so its par for the course

To be fair, I remember the pathetic attendance for Rob Lee’s testimonial.

TBF he took the piss with the ticket prices, think it was £20 in 2001 and we had all spent a load on Intertoto games that summer IIRC. Heard he moaned about the turnout before he scuttled off to Derby later that season. Bear in mind the Espanyol game next week is the same price 24 years later.

Was one of my favourite players, peak-Bobby Lee was a force of nature.

Probs getting rid of cobwebs and damp. Lots of underused ‘rooms’ last season.

Wasn't a peak though was it. Was after a miserable season and in the middle of Intertoto cup games.
