That’s embarrassing that mind. I can’t believe for one second any level headed fan with any dignity will buy something like that.

I’ll take one.

Must be a slow news day in Chicken Town if RTG and Keith are playing their greatest hits. Can't even look forward to us gerrin beyt tonight.

I notice they're already talking about "Wembo" tickets for the FA Cup semi-finals too [emoji38]

This feels like the ultimate piss-take but they're doing it to themselves. That's up there with the black and white bar fiasco from the FA Cup derby.

Wow indeed.

I’ve always wanted a tshirt filled with random yellow cards

Yeah, I mean we all know its blatant copium bollocks for them, but here are the actual numbers anyway.

You know, I mean compared to their 2 ties/4 matches in their entire history. [emoji38]

Aye, but Anglo Italian is probably all they would reference.

Come the next round that's just the 38x more.

At their current rate they'll reach their 150th European Game in the 4870/71 season. Over 2,000 years after Boro do.

Someone in that thread remembers the "sense of euphoria in Roker Park" when NUFC got beat off Atletico Bilbao in 1994.

Dear me. Was that up there with the greatest ever moments at Roker Park?

Obviously.

Scenes amongst the just over 14,000 there. Meanwhile at that time their negative results got a small not as loud as Man United or Blackburn's 'gerrin' cheer when leaving SJP if they got there after going through the Premier League scores and you were still in the stadium.

They all but showcase that they're their the piss ant in our arrangement with this stuff. Fine. Its just they don't seem to grasp it.

Mental they knocked back the Intertoto Cup invites back under Reid. Iirc, we got the first Intertoto Cup spot last minute because a Spanish club dropped out, England was next highest co-efficient so got offered the spot and no-one between 7-10th wanted it. Ended up giving us a competitive pre-season and we hit 01/02 running.

Their best European result.

Thought I'd Google what their result was that night out of curiosity.

Sunderland 1-1 Charlton in front of 14,085. Charlton finished 15th that season, Sunderland stayed up by the skin of their teeth in 20th.

EDIT: Oh, they actually had a game that night and were still thinking about us. Standard.

Their best European result.

Their best performance in Europe was when the Massive Lads Fans fought off the vikings who attempted to board their boat on route to the away leg against Vasas Budapest
