They’ve flipped. This has managed to send them over the cliff edge and break them. Full blown howling at the moon stuff.

I can’t wait for their next  home game. There’ll be nothing visible as such, but we’ll be able to detect the gloom, we’ll know

No Newcastle fans in North Shields, for example.

Nope. Makes you wonder how we fill our stadium or why we're even bothering with a new and bigger stadium, with such sporadic and non existent support across the north east.

Their fans have already bottled the playoffs. Mind, Coventry will be tough for them going off recent form of both clubs, and Burnley await the winners of that. It's tough to see anyone beating Burnley, it might be that sheff utd or Leeds even drop into that place.

He came to our burger stall in the Gallowgate (S17) when i worked there in the 90's. We had Robson Green, Jimmy Nail, Kevin Whatley and the guy who ran on to the pitch during the Man Utd 5-0 game and bowed to Keegan [emoji38]

Was a great two years of service. I witnessed the Asprilla hattrick against Barcelona and was walking through the Milburn for Albert's lob against Man U :aww:

I don’t think Kevin Whateley is an NUFC fan, mind.

What makes you say that?

He always came across as a Cumbrian rugby league fan in interviews.  I always got the impression that the NUFC thing was more part of the Auf Wiedersehen image stuff.

He's the only one who didn't go to Liege to see the mackems play.

:)

He was cheering them on on the radio, and snapped at Bomber’s criticism of SAFC.  Also, who’d want to go to an away match with Neville, the twisty-faced sod

Whately's NUFC, though doesn't sound like football's his first love:

"I enjoy sport and naturally I support Newcastle United, but rugby is my game and I might manage to sit still long enough to watch a match if I'm not playing golf." - https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/celebritynews/my-perfect-weekend/4807130/My-Perfect-Weekend-Kevin-Whately.html

I do remember an outtake from Auf Wiedersehen Pet where he's in bedroom with the football on the radio and messes up the take because Newcastle scores a goal.

Sunday morning, a week ago today, I was filled, not even with trepidation, but with a certainty that, once again, we would get the little rosette for competing, as we have done throughout my supporting life.

Still buzzing.

Wrong thread.

Refusing to get inside peak Brenda’s tubes because you’re listening to the match must stand for something?
