pinkeye
Well if they sold more tickets then that's it... we must accept the inevitable that they are coming to the Premier League and probably will stay up forever.

Haven't a clue mate I just nicked the picture from Twiiter, but we all know if it was based in reality and people actually there they'd come in around the Sheffield Wednesday number. Closer to Cardiff if we isolated backshift fixture clashes or nights they play when we're on TV

Even they know that. Only MK Dons can rival them. An empty seat is an empty seat even when their weird "tickets sold" defence kicks in. Wolfcastle
Their arbitrary, non-coincidental, made up parameters to inflate their stature is a big reason why I cant be doing with them, they need more humility before I'd have them back. Maybe a round 100years since they were last a big club at some point in the 2030's will be the right time. Maybe it'll sink in then. But you know they'll be a bigger club and better team than us if they're above us for a week in August (see 1996) and how they get 46,000 every week, except the 95% of the time they haven't since they moved there. Paully
How any NUFC fan wants these to go up so we can resume the Derbies is beyond me! I’m sick of hearing the “six easy points” patter too - if football was played on paper then yes, we’d batter them, but it’s not! Anything can happen in a one-off game and they’d probably be happy if they went down with just three points if the three points came from us! Sheff Utd 8-0 please and hopefully we never play them again! Ferk them!
mattypnufc
Administration, and folding as a club. If I was a billionaire I'd buy them and do exactly that. Long and slow.
Sima
I just wish for Ashley to take them over. They all seem to think he is a great businessman and his treatment and the hands of us was unfair so let's have it.

Ferk them! it will be a much harder 6 points than Burnley/Blades etc, and good chance its after a European excursion in first half of season at least which isn't ideal, although I'm sure the 2-0 Sherarer/Bellamy game came after Dinamo Kyiv. I've always thought NUFC fans who say they need to be playing Sunderland every season to enhance their enjoyment a bit weird tbh. I get far more enjoyment looking down at them rotting in the lower leagues.

ramirez
Growing up in Washington gives you a different 'appreciation' of mackems, which my cousins in the west end etc would never have. Always found it weird why it seemed like the whole of sunderland would go out for derby day, even lasses who have no interest in footy. They will literally sell more Season 'cards' on the back of the derby, I know they've broke it down into halves before so people could guarantee the mags game, we are their whole world. I'm resigned to them fluking it on penalties but hope i'm wrong.

They advertised their half season ticket campaign last season based on if you bought one you could guarantee a ticket for the FA Cup game v Newcastle. Basically used us to sell season tickets
