It only makes sense if they're going to bring in Dyche.

Absolutely nothing they can do about it. Rolling contract can be bought out very easily. It's gonna cost stoke half a mill max.

Sunderland choice not to get him off it. Lercals will be fewmin

Obvious question for me is why would you allow your manager to speak to another club if you wanted to offer him a new deal to keep him? Surely you sort it out there and then and get it done to nip it in the bud.

Unless there are other issues behind the scene...

They've got no choice but to let him being on a rolling contract, if stoke want to buy it out for the fully year. It probably means that he's already decided stoke is a better offer and the talks are to finalise negotiations.

Either way, no coming back from this for him and the fans, they'll hate him for daring to speak to stoke.

Glorious.

If the mackems can't afford to keep Alex Neil on anything more than a pitiful rolling contract theres not a chance they can afford Dyche.

Neil was probably on 5k a week.

£10k apparently. Dyche was on 80k last season after signing a bumper contract to ward off Everton.

He waits, he gets that Everton job in about 6 weeks time. Maybe even villa.

Actually hearing, what is a really good bit of business by the SAFC owners, that they've negotiated a straight swap with Stoke.

Alex Neil going there and Neil Baldwin heading up North

Simply marvellous
