So can we conclude he’s passed his medical and signed and is at SJP for the coms team to do their photo ops and interviews?

we’ll have to wait for Adam P’s video to find out what is really going on.

I’d rather chew on razor blades and try and shit them out than watch that little half a stroke voiced weirdo creep!

I feel like we’ve never really signed a first choice goalkeeper since the mid-90s.

obviously we have signed goalkeepers but the way they have ended up in the team has been a bit drawn out.

Apart from our current keeper Dubravka, who we signed as a first choice and he went straight in.

I don’t agree with that, the vast majority are average or above average height. Anyway here is pope with Ramsdale who is 6,3. He’s more like 6’6/7

There was a photo of him alongside Mings too and he towers over him. Got to be 6'7.

Wait for the team pics next to Dan Burn.

Fraser is going to look like a bairn between them man, getting big swings as they enter the field....

Last season Pope saved 73.6% of the shots he faced placing him 5th best in the league last season.

Dubravka saved 67.9% of the shots he faced placing him in 14th.

As a shot stoppers there's no question Pope is a (probably significant) upgrade on Dubravka. Also, it's not like Dubravka is some wizard when it comes to playing it out the back.

Obviously you can dig even deeper on those stats and look at the quality of shots faced, but I don't think you'd see a significant difference considering Pope played for a horrific Burnley side last season.

Like you say you’ve got to delve deeper. Depends on the quality of the shots surely. Was at both his games this season. Dropped a clanger for our goal at SJP. Picked the ball out the net twice at their place but didn’t have much else to do. Kicking was poor in both games. Remember him sweeping up a bit at our place.

Wish the lad all the best and hope he has a great season as he’s not come to be No.2

Just got to remind ourselves we’ve spent £20-23m so far this summer and the first team hasn’t been improved yet from the one that finished last season.
