CL group games will now be split across 6pm and 8pm like the EL. And no highlights on ITV anymore.

Bit surprised by the renewal given that UEFA were supposedly concerned that the viewing figures are terrible.

Europe's top four domestic leagues are to be guaranteed four places each in the group stages of the Champions League from the 2018-19 season.

The current top four leagues according to European governing body Uefa's rankings are Spain, Germany, England and Italy.

Under the present system, England, Germany and Spain have three places each while their fourth-placed teams must win a play-off to qualify.

More women will be appointed to the Football Association's board as part of proposed reforms revealed on Monday after criticism over the way it is run.

In December, five ex-FA bosses asked the government to intervene and change an organisation they described as being held back by "elderly white men"

Less than 70% full for Leeds seems pretty poor considering how well they're doing, even if the owner is mental. I thought they'd have a higher percentage than Villa.

The top tier of one stand is closed for most games.

That was one of the first ones that jumped out at me too.

That's not that surprising really and quite a good figure IMO given that most of their PL hardcore support base will have well and truly jacked it in. Replaced with family and bairns and the odd staunch old git.

We should never knock attendances of clubs who have went through hell like Leeds have or clubs that historically don't always get high gates. It was 25 years or so we were getting under 10lk at home...

I am staggered though that we got the gates we did when we first went down and get the gates we do this time around. The City of Newcastle gets behind its club something silly, its ridiculous really. Fair play though.

No doubt most of those clubs sell outs (only sell outs in some cases) were against us.

That would be interesting to find out
