Absolute mess, that. At least it was the right decision though, which is an improvement on that shit show in the Confederations Cup.

May have been mentioned but across 32 amateur leagues this season in UK, they are trialling a 10 minute sin-bin for dissent. It's come down to the FA from FIFA to see what kind of impact it has in practise with a view to implementing it in the professional game. Just for dissent, not bad tackles.

My league are one of the leagues they're trialling it in, and by the sounds of it, it's going to be a bit of a cluster fuck, and no one in the league thinks its going to work.

Just leaning over like that isn't a bookable offence, only if you jump over the hoardings and into the stand etc.

Celebration of a goal

Players can celebrate when a goal is scored, but the celebration must not be

excessive; choreographed celebrations are not encouraged and must not cause

excessive time-wasting.

Leaving the field of play to celebrate a goal is not a cautionable offence but

players should return as soon as possible.

A player must be cautioned for:

• climbing onto a perimeter fence and/or approaching the spectators in

a manner which causes safety and/or security issues

• gesturing or acting in a provocative, derisory or inflammatory way

• covering the head or face with a mask or other similar item

• removing the shirt or covering the head with the shirt

Why is covering your head a booking? Never could work it out

Is Man Utd's away section classed as pitchside? They have (home?) disabled seating between us and the pitch don't they?

I still think it's ridiculous. You're probably closer to the pitch in L7 than you are at West Ham's athletics stadium.

Think I read Man Utd had dispensation as well - I guess because it's a disabled section they'd be moving. I like the away end at Old Trafford as it is anyway.

So they've bought in a rule that will have an affect on no one. Genius

While I'm on, and this was recently talked about amongst my mates, the wearing of undergarments under sportswear. From the age of about 11 it was a no no. To this day I'm vestless and camando under any shorts and look down in a manly way on anyone that is soft enough to wear such mollycoddling garments,
