Yes, you don’t want a thread for every single player linked, but there’s obviously a bit more to this given we were pretty close to signing him at one point. He became financially impossible after we chose Isak instead and then went for Gordon and then it was too late. Obviously glad we got Isak over him, but he'd be an incredibly useful player for us. It was a bit weird - Romano giving it the here we go prematurely, saying the info came direct from Watford - but I think Wilson getting a bad injury early in the season made us rapidly move on to a surer thing in Isak.
