Just don't sell to Liverpool. We should be leveraging any/all dodgy connections we have via Saudi to do something with a big overaseas club. I love the idea of the FFP scam with Barca for Lopez

Realistically though, Chelsea are more of a direct rival right now.  We won't finish ahead of Liverpool this season, but Isak to Chelsea could make the difference of them finishing above us or not.

I can't believe there's not a single other club that hasn't shown interest.

He's one of the hottest strikers in World football at the moment and he wants out.

The "only wants Liverpool" means fuck all either.

Real or Barca come knocking and he's gone.

Also surprised we weren't/arent looking at swap deals plus cash to make a good deal for everyone.

Maybe his agent is such a cunt no-one wants to deal with them?

These ITKs are just playing percentages here, they know Liverpool will bid and that it might be accepted, and so guess that it’s happened to appear like they broke the story. In reality they’re just taking a punt as everyone forgets what they get wrong.

Why the fuck would we agree a fee now when it's completely possible they could lose to Arsenal tomorrow and Ekitike could pick up a season ending injury.

How desperate would they be then to pay whatever we want.

Would make zero sense to settle for a lower price now.

Makes zero sense everyone's price is going up at this point in the window and his is seemingly going down, like [emoji38]

Liverpool should be getting taxed for the way they've gone on and with how late they've left it.

Woltemade is going to take time to get used to the PL so we need a proven PL striker - keep Isak for another season is the answer.  They could also make a lethal combo.

Isak could also get injured. Which potentially could lead us having to sell Tonali or someone while stuck with this C to meet PSR rules next summer.

That's different. The window would be closed then and you make peace with injuries etc. but while the window is open the dynamics could change based on the events of tomorrow for them.

Like fuck would we have to sell Tonali, and as for injuries it could happen to any player. We also have UCL money next season our PSR headroom is as healthy as it’s been for a while.

Which article said 130m?

Sorry read a few and I don't recall which one it was, I just remember being surprised and disappointed that we were supposedly ready to sell at that price. It could all just be bullshit of course, it's not like anyone from the club has ever put a figure on it, this is what other sources are saying.

If they bid 120m then they’re not serious and they want it to be rejected. 130 is a serious starting point to negotiate from. IMO anyway. I hope they don’t bid at all just for the comedy.

We've never been desperate to replace him, however we seemingly have now, but he still should be here on 1st September unless our original demands are met.

Zero reason for us to capitulate and allow the southern whingers to get what they want.

I want to keep him, and leave him on the back burner so he can see first hand how one little fuckin strop doesn't make you bigger than the club.

If he goes to Liverpool now, it's a pathetic showing from our owners (imo obviously).

Might just be my anxious self.

But holy fuck the frustration if an unfit Isak got a bad injury playing for Sweden and is out for a year.

Wouldn't change much. We are already having to prepare for the possibility he refuses to play the rest of the season anyways.

It would change a lot, as noone seeing him play for a year we'd be lucky getting £50 mill for him, unless we want to keep him for another year that is.
