ponsaelius
Surprised MGW is in there tbh, good player though he is. If I was picking the best or at least most influential Forest player it would be Murillo.
Kanj
Murph for me like.

Would have Cunha and Gabriel before Declan Rice for PL performances. Agree with Gravenberch pick
The College Dropout
Wissa has 18 non-penalty goals. That's more than Mbeumo & Wood. And only 1 behind Salah, Isak & Haaland. He's gone under the radar for kudus. Salah has scored 9 penalties I'm of the belief the top scorer award should not include penalties. IIRC in several seasons Mane scored more open play goals than Salah (I may have madeup this stat but there's some truth to it). But for much of their time together it was seen as Salah was a level above. Senegal beating Egypt on penalties to win AFCON & qualify for the WC is justice for that I guess. Maybe 5th. that’s not the point. We will play 50-60 games next season. Isak can’t play them all + what if he is properly injured? the fact that we’d rather play an injured Isak right now speaks volumes about the alternatives. there has to be a striker incoming
Kid Icarus
I'm sure this has happened to us before where one of our players that's been nominated for player of the season won't (or probably won't) win our own player of the season.

Cristov
Hope the votes in the pfa player of the season award gets split between Liverpool players as I've got £5 on Isak at
MagPar
Salah will win without a shadow of a doubt. Isak about 4th after votes are counted.

Why they do these things during the season baffles me! Forest might finish 7th but have 2 players in it!

healthyaddiction
I'm presuming it is done the same way the player of the month is done. The votes impact the final result a tiny amount. It's really not worth voting at all.

Most top teams do not have a dedicated backup striker. The backup striker is a player that can play in numerous positions so is guaranteed minutes in every scandio. If they do have a backup striker it’s a kid or veteran. Man City’s backup striker plays on the wings and as a 10. Barcelona’s Ferran plays on the wings. Real Madrid have a teenager, last season they had a 34-year old Joselu. In all honesty our backup striker is going to be (1) our new RW if that’s an Mbeumo or Cunha type, (2) Anthony Gordon, (3) Osula, (4) Callum Wilson. If we sign an out and out striker it’s going to be a DCL type free transfer/body. Who will play the same role as Wilson is playing now. A half fit Kane always started. A half fit Haaland starts. A half fit Lewandowski starts. I think we sign a tactically flexible wide forward to give us forward options between him and Gordon.
The College Dropout
I said at the time, Chris Wood is about as good a backup striker we could have.
AyeDubbleYoo
Surely we’re expecting Wilson to go.

Logically he should, but Ritchie and Dummett would still be here now if City hadn't made an arse of the cup final. We've got a European campaign next year and I've a nagging feeling we retain him on that basis. Which is fine as long as we bring in another forward option of some kind and he's there in an emergency cover role.

Kanj
The shrewd move would be to get DCL on a free, and let Wilson go.

Alberto2005
I do think Eddie is a bit too loyal with Wilson, if he does stay I hope it doesn't halt Osula's development.
GavMcEl
Maybe im biased and have me black n white goggles on... but How has tonali not been nominated, easily in the top 3 midfielders in Europe this season ? If he was playing way liverpool, city, arsenal 100 percent he'd be in that shortlist
