I wonder who at the club actually has the decision on this btw. It's a shame at executive level we are in a bit of a shambles

Yasir won’t sell him. He’s going nowhere yet marra.

If he wants to leave it's only going one way.

Not this year I dont think. Next, fair enough. We've already clearly stated our intentions. We're not going to be missing out on a big money Isak sale if we say no to Liverpool now. Think we're very much in the driving seat here.

I'd only sell at 170m but I reckon it'd happen at 150m

..... hopefully Alex is willing to give us another season and I hope to fuck it'd be alongside Hugo up top so we can smash the life out of these bastards

We will have ticked off another year of Amortization next year as well.

Could feel something was up as soon as the Ekitike interest turned out to be true.

Got a horrible feeling of inevitability about it all. :(

Dreams of having two class strikers to play together or alternate just didn't sit right and felt very un-newcastle to have that level of depth.

But have to say, if there was any truth to the idea that we want Ekitike aswell as keep Isak and not because we knew he was going, then given the option, if there was a scenario where they wanted to sabotage our deal or drive up the price of Ekitike, then fuck it. Would always take keeping Isak over getting Ekitike plus having more money to spend.

Feel this would be done without the champions league qualification this season. Feel that will keep him here for another season. Plus we need to be showing ambition which we are.  Bit copium but that’s where I’m at

Ekitike was 1/5 to sign for us this morning.

Betting odds are often indicative of many things, however which club a player will sign for is not one of them.

There won't be a lot of money in the market, but this is very clearly not a non story when there's always shrewdies about with more information than the average punter betting on the right side of it. Not saying it guarantees anything, just pointing out it's hardly bedwetting to have concern about something happening that the bookies have priced up as a coinflip (Liverpool now 4/6 and us 6/5).

What part of WE ARENT SELLING ISAK do people not get?

Liverpool may end up with Ekitike but we wont sell Isak. If Isak went, Howe would likely follow him.

Gotta say, I've not for a single second thought he'd go this summer. Never. And £120m is taking the piss.

Ekitike feels like a Joao Pedro alternative, rather than an Isak replacement.

What if Jaoa Pedro was also an Isak replacement?

I cannot imagine Howe would be a very happy bunny if he went now either. Id imagine Howe has said do everything in our power to keep him. This is Howe's kick on year, he wants that chance to compete at the very top. Id be surprised if he hasnt made that very clear.

While thats true it depends as much on the player as the boardroom.
