For the 100th time, no it isn't.

If we get £130m for Isak and then spend 5 times that on other players thinking it's fine, just because we yelled "Amortisation!" like some magic spell whilst signing them, sure we'd be fine this year.

But next year we'd need to find another £130m for the second year of those purchases. And another £130m the year after. And another £130m in year 4, and another £130m in year 5.

Unless we plan to keep selling a player for £130m every single year for the next 5 years, then selling Isak for £130m this year absolutely does not allow us to spend multiple times that on signings.

Hell, we're still "Amortising" Bruno. And Isak. And Tonali. And Gordon. And Botman. Every year we have to find PSR room to pay another fifth of their fees still. So a massive chunk of any Isak sale might just go on that.

Amortisation is not some cheat code, it's just kicking the can down the road.

It is and isn't. It would give us more immediate wiggle room and, if we continue to grow as we are the commercial stuff, those others as you mention getting amortised when they eventually leave we make something back off them (even if not a technical profit) and as time goes on, hopefully we develop young players to sell on for decent prices. That bit sounds awful, young players as nothing than assets to be sold for profit but they seem to be well up for it as they can make decent bucks out of it as well.

Where's the proof he's refused to travel? A bunch of fucking lemmings on twitter?

The obsessions from many on here to believe negative shit as guaranteed fact from people that literally everyone on here berate as twats who know fuck all is so peculiar.

You think he's injured?

Too injured to travel when we brought an injured Callum Wilson last tour

It's been slow and its not been perfect, but it's being worked on clearly.

It has taken a while to figure out what best works for the current manager, which led to some disruption, which is being resolved now.

I'd still take this over what we had previously.

100%, feels like the wrong people have been appointed in a couple of major cases, but at least we are trying to fill that right positions with people are actually experienced in their jobs. I just hope we can hang onto Howe for long enough to bring in the new exec and get something efficient in place.

The way i view it now is that Isak told Eddie/Club he wanted a move when season ended. Weve told him we would sell him once we got a replacement hence the Pedro/Ekitike bids. Since they have failed and its now the end of July, him and his agent have kicked off.

Could be we didn't want to take him I guess. Which is weak by the club and player but not as bad as refusing to go.

It’s happening isn’t it. Of all the clubs. FFS!

If we accept the offer yes. But that makes us cucks. Let's see if we have a spine or we back track.

Not for sale remember.

Plausible but Liverpool bought Ekitike even though they really wanted Isak?

I think there's more than one alternative to what could be happening than the narrative that's being spun on twitter, and don't want to nail him to the cross and accuse him of x, y and z based on said narrative, would rather wait and see what the reality actually will be.

You will never get the truth from an official source on this, you have to piece together what's happened yourself. If you have a suggestion to what you think has happened I'm down to read it.

Don't see why we would sell to Liverpool given we already told them no when they threatened to hijack the Ekitike deal, and they offered a lowball fee at that.

Imho we should online sell him to clubs outside PL. If he wants to move we should contact Real Madrid which is the online club I can see that could afford him and that he might consider. If they wont pay the full sum we should ask for players in return.

The whole thing is weird. They've basically wasted 80m or whatever on Ekitike. I mean, unless their wealth literally is unlimited.

That's a mad double autocorrect, picturing an eBay listing with the main photo being Isak throwing signs after his Spurs goal

Makes me wonder if they tapped him up, met months ago and plotted everything between them scouse dick heads and his agent, if so, hope we can get them in bother over it.

The biggest let down is Isak knowing all of this but waiting literally until the new season is upon us, knowing Wilson was going out the door, and we have no striker.

Thanks Alex

It's not unlimited, they don't want Nunez so they are left with no forwards. Our cunt plus the French cunt makes 2 cunts which is about what you want.

Jota and the rumours they want to move on Nunez prob meant they wanted him anyway. They need two strikers just as much as us.
