I've always found the "strops" and "tantrums" as mostly an extension of fans imagination, thinking these players are as emotional about clubs and football as we are.

 

the most likely scenario is that Isaks agent called him up and said " Premier League Champions Liverpool have out reached and they want to double your wages. are you interested?"

the idea that Isak is in his house fuming murmuring about how much he hates Eddie Howe for not letting him go, and how he will never play for Newcastle again are probably wide of the mark.

not saying it doesn't happen with players, but most of the time its simply a numbers game and its all being handled amicably behind the scenes. I highly doubt Isak doesn't carry on business as usual in a few weeks if he stays.

Tbf there is some credible sources that have said he has a picture of Eddie Howe on his fridge and he's just been kicking oranges at his face all week and then running into his living room doing that back there hand celebration he does.

Yep, tell him he can go but we want to win the league so won't sell to a rival. So he can go to a bottom half prem team or abroad. If he went to Real Madrid or Barca I would be happy for him.

It was always him, he was going to go, felt like he was bigger than us once he hit his stride, hit the form he’s in.

 

Shame we have to lose him, but full confidence the money will be reinvested and we’ll be fine. Loved having him here, but was never that attached to him.

All seems very inevitable this now, there may be a first bid rejected but it won’t be a not for sale. There’ll be some negotiation and the deal will be £130 million ish plus add ons. We’re losing an absolute superstar and I’ve got no confidence whatsoever in our ability to sign what we need. Feels very grim at the minute
