Yorkie
Tapping up seems incredibly routine these days. Having an armada of influential whoppers on Twitter forcing disruption for weeks on end, probably less so.
Schecter
Well if you believe what the ‘journalist’ are saying we’re basically tapping up Sesko by speaking to him before going to Leipzig to offer money. Unless of course that is all complete bollocks.

Geordie Magpie
Great striker for us but all this nonsense has left a sour taste, if it's true he's refused to go on this tour ( likely is) he should receive an Owen esque reception on his return
SiLvOR
It's my own fault for following such an account but fucks me off how 433 on Instagram keeps posting shit photoshops of the Liverpool squad with Isak included, like didn't realise he'd already joined them lads. Cunts.

Whether it has been forced/recommended by his agent, I don't really care, his actions since this all started unfolding have been rank.
Wandy
So not only do they want to steal our player on the cheap, they also want to humiliate us by telling everyone in the football world "look, they came to us and asked us to buy him". If we succumb to this charade I will be fucking raging.
konvaljen
Honestly, I think it’s just a shrewd decision from Liverpool to ”wait” with a bid. From their perspective, what maximises the likelihood of the purchase happening? 1. Newcastle need to decide that selling now, with how the events have unfolded is in their best interest. 2. Newcastle must have signed at least one striker prior to accepting any bid. Number one is probably unknown for everyone right now and might even be decided by the success of number two. Putting in a bid right now probably just decreases the likelihood of a deal. That’s why they are stalling, and that is the same even if they would be willing to meet the 150 price tag. Vinny Green Balls
Fuck this shrewd stuff. That’s like companies fucking people over for the bottom line. It’s absolutely cuntish behavior if any of this is true.

Yep, but in all honesty, that is the same as deciding it is not in Newcastles best interest to sell.

If we succumb to this charade I will be fucking raging. The whole thing is laughable and a bit of a mess. It seems the Liverpool end and/or Isak's team are leaking the same story to select client journalists. They supposedly won't bid unless we encourage them to or suggest we are open to offers. Yet we have consistently said 'not for sale' through journos for quite some time?! So are they never going to bid then? Either they want him or they don't. I know it is all brinkmanship and they're trying to get the best deal, whilst also destabilising NUFC and the relationship between Isak, the club, manager, fans etc. But at some point, they will have to actually stump up some cash if they want to sign him. I also don't buy that they have to wait until Diaz goes to Bayern. They could be negotiating now if they wanted and the deal could be dependent on that sale going through, which is pretty much done now, by the sounds of it. I also read they had about £100m to spend without any more sales, which could be bollocks. But either way, they are looking to sell other players, too and I don't believe for one minute they are working on some kind of one in/one out basis. Like you say, if we decide it has all gone too far and there is no way back and then sell Isak for anything less than £150m. Then we will look like a pack of incompetent, useless, spineless cunts and it would set a hell of a precedent. Other clubs, players and agents will take the piss for fun if that happened. Turnbull2000
Is it even legal for Isak to have agreed his contractual terms with Liverpool before they officially bid today?
