Maybe never exactly the same level of love but we would definitely be able to support him if he put the work in. Rooney handed in a transfer request to go to their local rivals, players get rehabilitated all the time. This narrative that there’s no way back for him only serves Liverpool. Additionally if this move fails and he signs for us long term, he has a chance of breaking Shearers record. There is a high possibility that the fans will take to him again.
