We might have grounds to terminate his contract then.

But we won’t. The club have played this well up to now. A little longer to go. The media circus is having its final push to get what Liverpool and Isak want. We stand firm then they don’t. That’s our only option otherwise we are open to this noncesense every transfer window with any player that has a change of heart (wants more money).

Wonder if we could sort a loan deal to Saudi, where they give us a 20m loan fee. That would give us some money to find another striker but get him away from the club.

This is fast becoming the only viable option here.

Funny how three days ago I was like "get him out, he doesn't want to play for us", and now I'm like "He doesn't want to play for us? Fuck him, make him play another three years!" [emoji38]

It's a strange ultimatum though. If we got him to play, he'd be faced with the humiliation of staying with us despite this. Unless someone is making stuff up.

If he stays at NUFC, but says he wont play again, then what are his choices?

No idea, but I just can't see him playing there even if it is a loan only.

No chance Isak agrees to play in Saudi.

The Saudi transfer window is open until the 10th Sept IIRC.  If nothing is done by the time that our window shuts - then I wouldn't totally rule it out.

I think its clear from the club that they no longer realistically hold any hope of him playing for the club again.

This is about not being bullied by a player and setting a precedent. If he wants to ruin a year of his career or be sent into exile, thats his choice.

With it being 3 years, his value will hold (mostly) and we get the added bonus of being able to attract other clubs into the mix.

I very much doubt that he has said "I wont ever play for NUFC again". Like what have we done? Didn't offer him new contract with 4 years left on the current? Didn't let him leave to Liverpool after we said their offer is way below our valuation?

This is no doubt coordinated with Liverpool to try and push the price down as much as possible

What a pair of absolute dafties, him moreso as he's risking ruining his career just because they've whispered sweet nothings into his ear

Hopefully this makes the club even more determined to keep hold of him

Ornstien jumping on the cunt train these days.  Paid shill like the greaseball.  Sad to see him sell out.

Yes if there was any doubt there isn’t now. Totally owned shill. He’s Wankstain forever to me now. Rep in tatters.

Is Isak refusing to play for you not huge news that football fans would want to know about?

You'd still have to pay him. Very grey area as if we don't pay him he could argue that's breach of contract. I haven't seen a professional footballers contract though

Just like any employment agreement, it will go both ways

He needs to train unless excused, needs to turn up to games unless given direction not to etc.
