Some more from the Ornstein piece:

- told Howe he wanted out 2 weeks before season ended

- reiterated this message to Howe after the final day defeat to Everton and flew home to Sweden the day after

Some Eritrean barista better be popping some anabolics into his buna. We then sell him and watch and laugh as he gets a 3 year ban.

Either that or get Sandro to install a betting app on his phone.

Just to echo what everyone else is saying. The click bait, take the unpopular view, engagement farm that is Talksport. Have got one of their most anti-NUFC presenters coming out in support of the club and against Isak.

Wow. You know you’re being a prick if that’s the case.

Releasing this through the media is clearly designed to ramp up a vicious backlash from the fanbase, therefore making it ‘impossible’ for him to stay and forcing the club into selling.

It’s the most obvious tactical move you’ve ever seen.

Oh well all is forgiven then. Poor Alex. Can't believe weve done this to the poor little guy. Perhaps we could let him go for free now.

What an utter prick.

Is that supposed to somehow make people more sympathetic? Pretty shit attempt if it is the best his agent can come up with

Where's the transfer request then? Or is he expecting us to sack him for refusing to play?

Yeah. Beyond a joke now.

Even if/when he does finally slap a transfer request in. We should release an official statement saying about the price and still stand firm.

We shouldn’t be selling him for below the market value just because he’s having a hissy fit.

This is absolutely embarrassing for him, tbh. All this effort but only one club is interested and even they aren't willing to meet the asking price despite offering more for an inferior player 2 months ago.

Terribly advised but also, seemingly, a terrible person. What an idiot.

Damn. Just fucking let him go after that stunt tbh. The "optics" would all be on our side. He is going to get so much shit in the media that no player is going to try that shit with us again.

Not for cheap money though...

Therein lies the problem. After this ultimatum, Liverpool might lower their bid rather than up it, knowing that a) there isn't any other bidder that Isak would go to; and b) Isak has stated he would never play for us again. Someone is trying to force an exit, for cheap.

No one has put in an acceptable bid, and despite that the club has tried to bring in a replacement to make him leaving easier. He’s also been offered a new contract with a release clause. You’ve got to be pretty warped to see Newcastle as the baddies in this scenario, they can spin it as much as they like.

Of course it is. It encourages the, "just sell the fucker" element, and makes people think we should just take the low ball £110-120m offers. They're absolute cunts of the highest order.

Will probably go down as one of the all-time worst plays by a player and their agent. The fact he’s remained silent throughout but fed bits to the press from his side is a disaster for him from a PR perspective and it’s cowardly as fuck. Couldn’t have handled the optics of it all worse if he tried

If that somehow is true, then ofc him and his agent would have had a formal chat with NUFC, and they would know what fee we demanded. It’s obv. not true because that’s how it works, and if he’s that desperate he can slap in a transfer request and then go to the club that offer NUFC what they want, be that Saudi or abroad. But not a fucking rival in EPL. LOL, how stupid can one be.

I hope Isak learns from this experience in the future and doesn't pull a similar stunt to force a move away from Liverpool. Their fan base would be outside his house with torches and pitchforks if the shoe was on the other foot

I hate unsalvagable situations but if that's the way he wants it :dontknow:   the club will be around a lot longer than his career will. Off to the reserves with ye.

For the first time since the option was brought up I am thinking he might just wait until the 27th and pull the article 17 shenanigans, and hope Liverpool will just wait on him.
