I’d love Isak to stay but I don’t think we can trust him. Don’t think his team mates can trust him. The annoying thing is Ekitike would have been ideal as a replacement

There will be a point, whether Liverpool publicly pull out or September 2nd rolls around, that he will have to reneg on his threats, he's not going to spend a season on strike, especially during a WC year and further damage his fitness and match sharpness. It doesn't benefit him to half arse it either, his stock will plummet and he'll be unselable.

We just have to stand firm and ignore the noise.

This is it. I would seriously just ignore him for a bit. Let his side give everyone information for free as they panic more and more.

I don’t think he can be fined. He is just training separately everyday, and Eddie did tell him to do so.

Yeah, thats correct as he's training but not with the group however, if he misses any matches he can (and will) be fined

According to Hope he's training seperately because he has refused to train with the team, so slightly different.

We would have to select him and he would have to refuse to play for a fine to occur. Eddie may choose to get around the situation for a while by just not selecting him.

At the end of the day we won’t know what will actually happen until the window shuts. There’s a reason no player (as far as I know) has actually refused to play a significant amount of games that matter. Can’t throw away an entire season of your prime like that.

I would think we just have to show he refused to be selected for the fine to be levied. If you had to select someone knowing they won't play no-one would ever get fined.

Pretty clear to me that Isak and his side are bluffing, because they are coming from such a weak position. They will blink once the window shuts.

Agree with this, but never underestimate stupidity.

He was already on strike, surprised nobody has "reported" it yet.  Hopefully this will cement the narrative around what is actually happening, which is that he is refusing to travel, train, or play with the rest of the team.
