The Sweden manager has weighed in, suggesting that the media don’t know the full picture.

I think this will come out a little more in the next couple of weeks

Also, the message was always he isn't for sale, UNLESS you hit a crazy number, then everyone is for sale. I think we missed the boat with one of Liverpool's suggestions regarding cash and player. The issue is we don't actually have anybody to sit down and do the deal who is heavily experienced in that area. We need execs in asap more than we need a striker

“Alex is a great guy and very professional. We should all be very careful about drawing conclusions because we don't know the bigger picture. I have spoken to Alex a lot during this period.

I'm sure it will work out in the end, but you have to know the whole picture before you draw conclusions.”

Jon Dahl, there is nothing professional about his behavior. There is nothing professional skirting your teammates and club who have you under contract to play football. Shut the fuck up.

Fuck me, some people are thick beyond comprehension. Why would you choose to come out with this garbage. Just say you'd rather not comment on it, and move on.
Prick.

I know who it is, I was being a dick

But genuinely, who gives a fuck what the Sweden manager thinks. He's hardly going to come out and say "my star striker is being a cunt"

He's got to be diplomatic in case Isak comes out and says he's not playing for Sweden again and only wants Argentina.

I still see a way back for him. I think a new contract will become a convenient face saving exercise for both the player and club. Yes, you don't want to reward his behaviour with an improved contract, but if it means we'll have stood up to Liverpool's tactics and got him playing again in the absence of any decent striker alternatives, it's probably the best realistic outcome from our side. Once the window shuts and Liverpool weren't willing to pay more than Wirtz for him, I think he'll see things differently. He'll want to play but needs to save face himself, so a new contract with a release clause in it will do that and help to get more sceptical fans on board. Looking at the strikers on the market right now, I think this is going to be our strategy and we'll look to sign 1 striker as a Wilson replacement.

Sky edited the video to make it seem that fans signing "one greedy bastard" was when the players were still on the pitch applauding the fans... total misrepresentation of the facts.

They've been forced to take video offline.

Can we refuse to release him for International games if he is still refusing to train with us?

was my question as well.

Like, will him and Elanga just not speak to one another?

This is turning so improbably ugly. I wonder how his mental health is tbh. The pressure if/when he finally plays again too (for whoever) must be unreal.

To be fair I think there would be more pressure on him playing for us now than the dippers.

Apparently not going to the PFA awards on Tuesday … I do ask the question as to what exactly he’s doing , come back from Austria and essentially just isolated himself away from everyone , just seems extra strange

I can remember doing something similar in my teens, I reckon he's discovered non stop masterbation. The fucker is just pulling the head off it non stop. Dirty bastard.

I would suggest that he buys some benzos to calm his nerves but the poor soul can't afford them.
