If they had any sense they would bid again today to whip up another media storm distraction

They already know our fans are pissed and its got the potential to be a vicious atmosphere towards them, don't think they are stupid enough to try and rile up our fans hours before they have to come play at St James

Genuinely wouldn’t surprise me if we reject their next bid they move on to Wissa just to be cunts

That's why you need to get doable deals over the line, especially in the very small "proven striker" market.

Forget about scrimping about over tiny potential "overpays".

It's why I really wish they would chuck in another cheeky bid, just so there's no chance of any apathy from our crowd tonight. Liverpool need to feel like their only objective is to get out of there alive tonight, fuck the result.

I agree but I think if they bid £130m tomorrow and we reject it he won’t take it well at all

Fuck him. He can sulk for another two weeks if it makes him feel any better.

Such a shame he chose to act this way. If had any foresight, good management, or a functioning brain he’d have said his piece to his agent / club and gone on with it. He’d have played tonight, with his fully fit teammates under the lights and there was every chance we win tonight with him being the star man. People would be saying “is this Newcastle’s statement win? The premier league is on notice…” type of moment. But he’d rather sit out another major match to try and force thru a move. Annoying stuff.

Wonder how he will feel if we win tonight without him? Those on pitch connecting with the fans in the ground. Or if we draw or lose and the noise is still deafening in support of our lads.

It will be deafening no matter what. Isak is a selfish brat that is clear. I am disappointed we didn't sign a real prospect though and allow time for him to be trained up so Isak can be gone next year. Forest took Kalimuendo who IMO should have been our signing.

What's he going to do, stop training and refuse to play?

He's got no cards left to play.

Yep, he’s cooked on that front.  Zero chance he takes a weekly wage fine for refusing to play for a year.  He’ll be training and available again in a week or so.

I think it’s hard for Respect FC to put on pressure at this point in the window given our circumstances. If they wanted him they should’ve been bidding 130+ in June. Instead they went another route getting him to go on strike to drive down the price, which doesn’t look like it has worked. I’m wondering if they even want him at this point or if they’re looking for a way to get out of it without looking like the club that burned his career.

My prediction is that they put in one more bid that they know will get rejected.
