C'mon Yasir, flex a little. Get two strikers in and make the Judas disappear from the professional standpoint, play in the U21s for three years.

Absolutely not, why deprive some kid of some valuable minutes so this waste of space can play football

Everyone thinks you're a cock Alex, even your hero Thierry. I hope we let you rot you utter twat.

Oh yeah, that passed me by! Hope he saw that.

Also Alex, Shaka Hislop thinks you're a cunt too. And Frank LeBoeuf.

I'm not really sure what a positive outcome is. I don't really want to see him play for us again.

Begrudgingly I think the best outcome is that he stays and treads the road to forgiveness, which will probably be fairly short, at least with the match-going fans imo. One reminder that he's an exceptional striker who we're infinitely better off with than without is probably all it will take to break the ice. It's unpalatable but the only way we 'win' I think.

Second prize is he leaves but somewhere other than Liverpool. Even if it's a can-kicking loan.

Third, he goes to Liverpool for something like the asking price.

Fourth (and last), he goes to Liverpool for something under the asking price.

'Rots in the reserves' is a disaster where literally everyone loses, including us. There's saving face and then there's allowing a £150million asset becoming £0.

I don’t care about him changing his mind about leaving, I care about if he’s going to do his job. If not, give him the option of sitting out the next 3 years and see if he takes it.

After Monday when fit to do so he’ll do his job.

Yesterday I was of the feeling that the priority has to be him not joining Liverpool and then after that I would begrudgingly tolerate him playing

But that's changed, him not joining Liverpool is the priority but if he's still here when the window closes then let's just take the loss as a club and make sure he does nothing for the next 3 years

Let's see if Liverpool are still whispering in his ears when he's played no football for 3 years

So we have to overpay for a striker we don’t really want to allow Liverpool to underpay for a striker they really do.

The beautiful world of PSR. Having the exact opposite result of why it should be there but the exact result the big 6 wanted. Lovely stuff.

Ironically, without PSR, we'd be one out of a handful of clubs with owners who are rich enough, and proud enough to do just that on a whim.

My hope would be that we once 1st September comes around and he's still agitating for his move, that we'll do all we can to give light to the fact that he has made his bed. We can't let a narrative of him being 'kept out of the picture' begin to build

He’s bluffing until Monday. He has nothing else.

The last dying throws of desperation, will try anything to change our stance and sell him on the cheap to the dippers, but he's going to have to suck it up because it's not happening in a million years.

My take is similar

Option 1 - sign a new contract on better terms and come back

Option 2 - train alone for 3 years

"The secret meeting"

Is that the same secret meeting that every journalist with a twitter account was blabbing on about and was mentioned constantly on Sky Sports and TalkSport to millions? That secret meeting?
