Gotta admit I am bit disappointed by the softly softly approach PIF seem to be taking towards Isak - visiting his house, no fines.  They should be threatening him with court if he doesn't start playing today - certainly should have fined him by now.

They have fined him. Twice if reports are to be believed.

He was going to be fined every time he missed a game. He's missed two.

Where does it say that?  I have not seen anyone reporting it

Is it confirmed he isn’t getting fined?

Was reported a week or two back.

Obviously nothing confirmed though. I doubt they would anyway.

Eddie Howe admitted last night that Newcastle United's board are considering whether to fine

That to me doesn't say they have and media are reporting we haven't as yet so as not to inflame the situation anymore.  But seriously how much worse can it get?

Has he been picked though?

Reports say he is refusing to play but until he's named in a squad and refuses he technically hasn't refused

Eddie said in one of his pressers it’s Isak’s decision not to play, so he’s made himself unavailable for selection, which is refusing to play.

He should be named in the squad for Leeds. That'll clarify it and then nobody can claim it's unfair.

This completely baffles me tbh, never in a million years would I have expected Isak to act this way….not just the initial action but the continuation and escalation.
Regardless of what promises were made, I can’t see a scenario where most rational people would be able to behave this way, especially given how EH, the club and the fans have supported his career mutually to the way he has helped the team.

I don’t want him back now, I don’t ever want to see him in a NUFC shirt and I don’t ever want to see him back at SJP….equally, for me there is no scenario where I’d sell him to LFC or any other EPL club out of spite if nothing else  (although there’s valid reasons why we shouldn’t let him join an English club).

I hope we sign two players and still make him stay, stay until he accepts a loan move to Italy, Spain or Saudi…destroy the fuckers next three years.

I said to my mate that if he does play again, the whole stadium should turn away whenever he is subbed on or off, no applause, no fuck all.

What a horrible little bastard he’s turned out to be….a horrible bastard that’ll fit in well with those horrible bastards, ironically.

Wouldn't put it past this shameless snake if he just flat out refuses to play till he gets his move in January

Other clubs would genuinely walk away if he did that I think

Club have to prepare for that possibility definitely especially if the national side tell him keep his fitness up and he will still get selected

How can anyone walk away? There's no club at the table for him now.

Liverpool must have reassured him they'll be returning with another bid, surely.

Still struggle to get over that he was capable of such cuntery. Essential we don't let him win with a move to Liverpool, and ensure he rues this despicable behaviour for the rest of his days.

I don't think Liverpool will

Whilst his behaviour will be off putting to the vast majority of clubs I don't think it makes a difference to Liverpool

If you believe his actions have been coached by Liverpool, which I do, then they'll be delighted at him

Fwiw, I think Liverpool do come back with another bid or two, and not just because we've invited it. They along with Isak will be pressuring us until the very end.

They have form for this, they've tanked his reputation and thus reduced competition to sign him and are obviously trying to tank his value as well.

It's why it's of paramount importance we do not cave in.

Couldn't agree more

Which is why despite not wanting to see him anywhere near our shirt I'd actually accept that before I would accept him going to Liverpool, especially for under his value
