Get the new guy in and then switch the transfer fax machine off until January.

Keep him and it’s one of the strongest forward lines and strongest midfields in the division, with a solid defence.

Sell him and the replacement will not be as good and it strengthens a rival. He goes in June for the same money.

Yes Isak is going to cry about it, but he’s got 3 years left on his contract so he’ll have to get over it.

Like others, I am baffled by some of the calls on here.

We actually have a team that can challenge for the title right now. Shame we are probably 3 points off what we should be due to Isak's antics, but in the long run we can make that up if we hold onto our assets.

Well on paper yeah but the reality is Isak is refusing to play, and even if he does play he won't be anywhere near the levels he should be.

He will if he still fancies a move next summer

If we are talking reality, then Liverpool have only offered £110m so far. If Monday rolls round and they still haven't got anywhere near a respectable offer, then that will tell Isak just how much they really want him. We can then turn round and tell him, looks like they didn't rate you so highly after all mate. They were more decisive in making sure they got Ekitike.

I know we all unanimously hate this cunt, but having him play uptop with Big Nick behind him, pulling in defenders, turning and laying it off to the rat is legit dreamland pairing [emoji38]

Keep him and sell next summer. Nothing Isak, his agent, Liverpool or the media can do about it.

Going to be interesting how this plays out. Liverpool would want to get him late as it could stop us getting someone else. We could up the price as it could leave us short, we could drag it out to drop them in it by saying no eventually but we can still buy in and deal with FFP in January or end of the season. The Woltemade signing (still awaiting confirmation arent we ?) has tipped the odds in our favour I feel

Won't miss this cunt's injury record tbh.

He also doesn't strike me as the type of player who'll be very durable in his 30s.

Nothing would make me happier than to see him be a £135m crock at Liverpool .

Pretty much guaranteed to miss 10 games a season through injury + he hasn't had a pre season so will be nowhere near match fit

I think that's a strange take for Liverpool to have - surely we can buy who we want within the realms of FFP so long as its done within the financial year, and thus, we don't need to sell him to buy (now)?

EDIT: Sorry you said similar. Missed it when I scan-read

So we going to keep him then sell next year which will allow us to bank more profits and enable us to spend big next season?

This would be the smart move. Only reason I can see us selling would be that everyone believes internally that hes going to cause problems all season if he doesn't get his move.

But from a purely an onfield and financial perspective, the best move would be to keep him this season
