If not, we'll take the cheap offer, but if he can, then Isak stays. Liverpool won't pay more, and they won't bid against themselves. It's all on us, I think. Do we actually think we can get Isak back on track? I am positive that reintegration means new contract, I dont think it will work out if that doesnt happen. Eddie doesn’t even need to get him back into the team as a main guy. We’ve got a guy for that in the league now. Isak at worse can play in UCL, where if he’s self centred, he should be up for because performing well in Europe gets Real Madrid, PSG etc. all come back sniffing in January. Gazzaschicken
If we let target sit on the bench all season on £100k a week we can let isak, I don't believe we need to sell him this window for finances, we have spent £200m but I don't believe the club is in that much of a financial issue at this point in the cycle for this to have to happen. We have champs league money plus sponsorship, and we have offloaded Deadwood. I think we sell next summer for £100m and push on from there.

Stepping back, the club looks like it had spent the money it had available on the personnel and positions it wanted. The Isak situation hasn’t affected our PSR budget in the slightest. Hope is full of shit. At least Baldwards has been slightly more consistent here in regards to the rat.
black_n_white
I just don’t see a world where he stays at nufc. Most of the details would have already been verbally agreed by now, it’ll just be the formalities at some stage in the next couple days. I reckon it’ll happen very quickly once the press hear about it.
JonBez comesock
Fans have turned , no way back for him Imagine what it will be like as soon as he has a poor game or an ineffective game it’s unimaginable for him to come back and play well every week - he’s not a robot!! No doubt Isak will get hammered by large sections of the crowd which will be no good for the team - Eddie has built up a great connection between the team and fans and this will spoil all the hard work !! What an utter shambles, if that’s how it goes down. You’re basically showing the whole world how to strong-arm us into selling players we had no intention of losing; and not just that, but how to walk away with a massive fucking discount too. Might as well send them a lovely edible arrangement while we’re at it. If we do end up rewarding that rat and that scumbag club after all the shit they’ve pulled, I’d be absolutely fucking livid. JonBez comesock
Can’t believe anyone on this forum who thinks Isak will stay Its definitely going to happen and at a price less than £150m Nailed on Good Riddance - He’s spoiling the team spirit and spoilt the last 2 months pre season

If not, Eddie's gonna get grilled about Isak at every press conference, and everyone will be saying we messed up, and that isak maintains his position. I reckon we won't totally fall apart if we think we can get Isak back in the team. But if the club thinks there's no chance of that, I reckon we'll take an offer of 120/30. There are zero examples of a player keeping their strike going past the end of a transfer window. The closest is Tevez, but his little drama started post the window and was an on field falling out. Either one of the selling or buying team caves on the price or the want away player comes back and plays as well as normal, as if it never happened. Matt1892
I’ve got no issue with Isak going for less than the mythical asking price, he has engineered a position within the club where his future here looks untenable. We need to move on from him and fans need to find peace with the club and the position they have taken when he is sold. He shouldn’t be sold without a replacement coming in though. NSG
Happy Isak is sold day eve. Take £130m + achievable add ons to make it £140m and move the fuck on.
Guest
If we were to keep old out and Liverpool don’t pony up it could damage the scouse game plan. If Isak doesn’t get his move any players thinking about pulling this move (with Liverpool pulling their strings) are going to think twice and not trust Liverpool. They have to pay up really if they want to try this again.

Hanshithispantz
If Liverpool get him for under £140m they'll have completely taken the piss out of us to an embarrassing degree, I wouldn't be against the Premier League docking us points. Even under £150m I'd feel like they'd won. I just hope we've been putting the feelers out to guage how realistic it would be to sell him next summer for £100m-£120m. OpenC
Can't wait for Manchester City to just follow this exact playbook next year for Tonali. "Welp, player isn't happy. I guess we'd better just take whatever it is they're offering" Fucking pitiful man
ExiledGeordie
Whenever it is whether it’s this window, Jan or next summer illl be glad to see the back of him. He’s totally disrespect the club, the fans and Howe, all who supported him (particularly the fans and Howe). He could have gone about this in a completely different way but he’s burned his bridges and memories. I don’t want that kind of player at the club.
