Isak's behaviour meant that he inadvertently went on strike for his country this international break, which has probably now cost them a place at the World Cup

Wish there was any way he'd flop there but he'll get 15 league goals just by not being shit in that team.

Probably say flop for him/Liverpool, is Liverpool ending the season trophyless, and him clear 2nd choice to Etitike.

Even if he scored 10 goals in 24 league games (averaging G/A every 120 mins in Prem), that's a good return. But it's the same return up until last season Nunez was offering, so they'd have essentially spent more on staying the same at best. Isak won't enjoy being 2nd fiddle either if he's not starting the big games in 2026, so they then have that ego to deal with.

Be fanciful / blinkered for people to think he'd do anyworse, but above is best case scenario IMO.

And "You're just a shit Woltemade" ringing out from the away end in January as the icing on the cake [emoji38]

Unfortunately, you are right.

I'd love to see him go back to the form of his Real Sociedad days, when he was scoring a piddly 6 goals a season,  before Eddie turned him into a world class striker. Sadly, that's not going to happen.

To be fair, that was one season he did that. The season before that he scored 17 non penalty goals, and the season before that 10 in the league + was the top scorer in Copa del rey. And he wasn't even their starter that season.
