His 2nd post says that we don’t believe that there are 2 suitable strikers left on the market, and don’t believe that Liverpool would even bid £150m.

I can think of two straight away - Ramos and Samu. So what’s he talking about?

Still think there’s a decent chance he plays for us this season and I don’t want to be a meme

Cant see myself ever wearing it again mind you.

I was wearing mine when we won the cup. I’ll wear it happily again one day I’m sure.

So he’s unequivocally not for sale but the board have told you Luke, the terms on which we would sell him. All within the same tweet thread. The mind boggles.

I thought I was too sleepy for it to make sense. He's not for sale but his price is £150M - so he is for sale

I hate Luke Edward’s

however he’s been unequivocal in his reporting of the Isak situation from day one, if he’s wrong I hope Luke falls on his sword

if he’s right he will rightly be honoured with a statue alongside Alan Sheera

You hate Luke Edwards

Edward’s is the singular possession i.e. used for something that belongs to Edward

Kudos for the use of unequivocal though

His price is £150m and we want two replacements. We don't think those players are out there, therefore he's not for sale.

I'm not saying he's right or anything, but the position he's putting forward isn't a contradiction.

Forgive me for having my doubts from the man that said "Trafford was all but done" then a week later he signs for City. If Liverpool bid £150M he's gone - if we can't get replacements in regardless if Isak stays or goes it'll be a colossal fuck up either way.

I think that's an unfair judgement of what he's written, he's unequivocally not for sale right now and it would take a very unlikely set of specific circumstances for that to change, there's no chance we sell him because those circumstances can't be met this window in the clubs eyes.

We need to replace Wilson and there's no one out there they feel comfortable will come close to replacing Isak, Ekitike was that player, Sesko was another option, no one else seems to meet that criteria, I think there are players out there but atm they're too risky.

Do people really think a few goals and all will be forgotten?

I find it really hard to see him playing for us again after what he's done.

Is there another example? I guess Rooney did something similar but not as bad.

Cabaye at NUFC?

That are available for Newcastle?

Availability, price and level of risk to allow Isak to leave comfortably, there's a lot of factors to consider and it doesn't look like we're happy with the potentially available options.

Trafford would have been done if Man City hadn’t exercised their right to buy, based on matching any offer made. I assume Eddie Howe thought we could sign him too, not just Edwards.

It’s about time we have a journalist who will go balls to the wall is on something and come out swinging. DESPITE WHAT YOU FEEL ABOUT HIM.  He’s fighting the fight for Howe and the club and he’s got a bravado about him we need to counteract the bullshit against us in the press.
