We'll look back in a couple of years and think anything below 150 was an absolute bargain

I'm the opposite, I think Isak's value will go down with every goal Woltemade (and Wissa if we get him) scores. He may be at peak value now.

Anthony Gordon currently leads the league in shots taken. He's not a center forward of course, but we've created 10 shots for him, in a game and a half against Top 7 opposition. Playing up front for Eddie in our team with our players is a sweet deal.

I wouldn't take it as given that Isak will develop further and score far more at Liverpool. They are a team in massive transition losing or about to lose some of the Premier League era's greatest players, including some very creative ones. Replacing them with merely good players is a big downgrade. We've seen Kerkez and Wirtz (and most importantly Slot) against 10 men and let's just say I was not very impressed. Buying Isak looks like a chequebook answer to much wider problems.

This is cope tbh, the isak part I mean. He's truly elite and a unicorn he will score loads for whoever he signs for.

He's a world class player but a massive asshole.

I like the idea of telling him if he wants his move then he must hand in a transfer request. He's been agitating like a spoilt megacunt to get away, but at this point he's also painted himself into a corner. Things are so toxic that he'll be petrified at the prospect of having to stay here, so make that the price he pays for getting what he wants.

Christ, the propaganda from Liverpool shills is nearly as bad as Israel's.

If they are already admitting 130, we can get em higher. This is the summer of the overpay.

If half their fans think the decided fee is an overpay, I think it will prove to be one in hindsight, that's good enough for me.

PS. Gyokeres has the same goals+assists for Sweden as Isak in under half the game time. Which begs the question of how many Gyokeres would get for NUFC.

I'd like to think that if there is sufficient evidence that he clearly went on strike to force a move to a rival club, then we'd be legally justified in not paying him a "loyalty bonus", transfer request or no. Just down to the club bothering to litigate, depending on what the offer is.

100%, I feel so strongly over this. If he wants to leave so badly, get Liverpool to top up their signing-on fee to make it up but no fucking way should we sign anything without him losing that loyalty bonus.

Selling him to Liverpool sets a dangerous precedent. They will just come for Tonali next summer. A quick call to Sandro's agent and get their twitter shills to put out relentless noise. It'll be proven to work.

We have to make an example of Isak. I think the club have made a decision on a reasonable set of conditions (two strikers and a figure - perhaps 150m) and unless those conditions are met, they won't budge. All this noise is coming Isak's agent and from Liverpool feeding stuff to twats like Ben Jacobs, and the giveaway is the usual bits like 'if they just open the door for us to bid'. I'd hope the club can see through all the noise and bluster.

Absolutely this. Has to be a condition of us accepting any offer for him.

Interestingly, I think we may see one from Wissa before or by Monday as his final throw of the dice.

In build up Harry Kane is several times the player Isak is. He also scores more goals. That is what I call elite or a unicorn.

Isak dribbled past five Everton players. Once in one game. He is not Mbappe doing dribbling past two or three every game. His output in three NUFC seasons are barely better than Callum Wilson's.

In a month's time, it is likely people will say Woltemade is a better team player.

Eddie's comments certainly indicate he wants him out, like. There's no way back for the cunt, and that's the first time I've thought that.

I just don't want him to get his way and go to the Dippers

We should still reject it.

I’m of the opinion that we should reject any move to Liverpool, but if we do it should be £150m upfront, plus add-ons.

I’d also be doubly petty and tell Liverpool that in addition to those fees, they also have to provide a 100% refund to anyone who’s bought one of this seasons shirts with his name on it, that is the price of the shirt plus any printing. I’d even make a social media post about it telling fans to get their refund, Liverpool are paying for your new shirt.

As a club I’d be very fucking loose with the parameters of a refund as well, doesn’t matter if you bought it from us, or through JD Sports, doesn’t matter if it even looks like a DH Gate version, here’s your new shirt buddy.

This is ultimately what it comes down to for me. If Eddie wants him gone I couldn't care less where he goes. Newcastle United first.

He's going to Liverpool.
