We will sell because howe would rather not have a player who doesn't want to be there hanging around. I still don't think we should sell to a rival particularly one who has been a bit of a shit, but unless they come in with some ludicrous under bid he'll be a Liverpool player in a few days and his arseholery will have paid off

Dont agree at all. Howe has said in interviews recently about meetings between Isak reps and club that he wasnt privy to. If we believe Howe that Isak had told him he wasnt happy with contract issue then surely Howe would have pleaded with owners to sort it but who clearly didn't listen to him.

Might be worth questioning whether we can trust Isak that he actually wanted a contract extension and would have committed to it. We know he’s a liar and extremely unprofessional. I’m sure more details

will come out. There will have been a time in the window when Howe wanted him to stay, no question. However, since the beginning of the actual season I’m convinced Howe has wanted him gone and told PIF that’s the case otherwise they wouldn’t take this line after saying he wasn’t for sale

This all happens regardless of the contract. He's a bellend.

I really don't like this. Any player can just start doing what Isak has done until they get their way.

Get him out for a 135M package and get Wissa in. My preference would be to keep him for a year but it seems pretty clear that Howe and the team are done with him.

Ask the fucka to hand his medal back and remove any photos of him. The club should refuse to deal with his agent ever again. If we could force him to hand in a transfer request that would be the cherry. It’s scandalous that he can make millions by being a cunt.

Id say its more to do with the meeting Reuben and co had with Isak recently. Howe prob did want him absolutely gone but owners wanted to keep him against howes wishes and Reuben was sent to sort that. When Reuben reported back after the meeting that Isak wasnt for changing his stance that the owners changed their tune and sanctioned Woltemade. Could be totally wrong like but the way i see it.

But we were already bidding and failing for loads of strikers, no?

They’ve been trying to get a top striker in since the window opened.

Isak is better than Wissa so my preference is for him to stay until June. With another top striker on the books Isak will have to apply himself or simply not play. He can go next summer for the same fee spoken about now, he won’t lose value. If more clubs are interested it could even drive a bidding war.

Also Brentford are fully entitled to require Wissa to stay, it’s not a done deal. Why should Newcastle ludicrously overpay Brentford just so Liverpool can get what they want?

Yes weve needed another striker all summer. Whether people want to believe they were Isaks replacement or Wilsons is up to them. But i genuinely believe that after that meeting on Monday is the first time the owners have bit the bullet and want two new ones with Isak gone. I wouldn't be surprised if we have told Brentford that we will bid what they want for Wissa 45-50m once Liverpool meet their valuation on Isak. If they don't then he stays.

I don't either but I think it may happen. My preference would be to sign Wissa and make Isak sit out the year, selling him before June 30. However, if we try that and no one else bites to create a bidding war, Liverpool will low-ball us even more on June 30.

Really like the playbook of Isak struggling to get in the side. No preseason; not fully fit. Being told he has to impress in training to get a spot on the bench. Can’t drop the lads who have put the effort in etc. Behind them in terms of minutes in the legs. Few games in the U21 team….. would maybe give him some more time to reflect……

I know this isn’t going to happen but he must be a little concerned (shitting himself) about what happens if he doesn’t get his dirty little move as he might not just walk back in and we don’t have to beg him to do so.

For me his value is the same in January and next summer but I would take 150 now.

Well played nufc recruitment in difficult circumstances.

Auf Wiedersehen Ratte.

Glad some of you lot aren't in charge as his price keeps going down with every passing comment.

I’m in the 150 club.
