I know they won in the end but I think it was poor management from Slot, to drop Ekitike for a guy who has barely kicked a ball since May and isnt anywhere near 90 minutes match fit. Poor message sent to Ekitike.

It's mad if Ekitike didn't know they also wanted Isak though. Surely that would have been made clear to him before he signed?

I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't tbh, Liverpool strike me as the sort to just say things to get who they want.

Ekitike will be a bit like Alvarez at Man City, he’ll get plenty of games but he’ll be playing wherever there’s a gap in the front 4, and he’ll get dropped for the big games, until eventually he gets miffed and someone buys him for £100m.

It's not like their pursuit of Isak was a secret.

If people on the outside could picture a world where they signed both, he and his agent must be thick as day old pigshit if they didn't consider this timeline.

Ekitike was happy to collect his wages behing Messi, Neymar and Mbappe so he won't give a fuck about being behind Isak.

Actually he wasn't happy, and he started acting up because he wasn't playing enough.

He reportedly earns £200k p/w at Liverpool, I'm sure he doesn't give a flying fuck

You are projecting. That's your mindset.

Most good footballers want to play and many move due to dissatisfaction with their playing time.

He wasn’t actually, he had attitude issues and was ostracised from the team and I think their manager said he wouldn’t play again for them or something to that effect. There will be major issues in that team caused by Ekitike and Isak both not being able to play together, especially with Salah

Ekitike looks good too, no? Only Sesko looks like it might not work out

Some nice touches but I haven't been overly impressed. Woltemade's debut was a better performance imo than any Ekitike has given so far. Early days of course, could all change quickly.

The guy treated our club and its staff like a pile of dirt, I no longer give a shit what happens to him and no longer need a running update every hour about his new club. Is there a way to hide threads by the way I've always been curious?

The whole situation is just so sad for me, seeing him in that Liverpool shirt last night was horrid. Over time it’s something we will all get used to I guess.

Yeah it felt weird. Then that big brute of a defender clattered him and I remembered how badly I wanted his legs to be detached from his body

He had umpteen chances to join us, and blew us off for the "bigger club" every time. I wish it had happened, but it just never did. Even if he wanted to come here now, Liverpool would have us over a barrel.
