I'm firmly of the opinion that he'll never recoup or repay his value in terms of resale or output. Doubt he'll be this shit over the course of an entire season but happy for it while it lasts.

Ekitike looks the real deal like. Our scouting has been sound.

250 million on just two footballers is insane

This is why the club was ultimately right to “cave” and sell him at the price they did, even if he does eventually come good.

There are diminishing returns on player prices, a 130m player is not twice as productive as a 65m player, and once you’ve gotten to that price bracket you basically always lose the deal unless everything goes right and they’re a top 5 player in the world at their position.

He's absolutely awful in the press. It's not like Nick is much better, but perhaps he will get better. Isak isn't getting better at it any time soon, or ever.

Say what? Not understanding the point.

Er, Isak definitely is a top 5 striker in the world.

Don’t necessarily agree. Isak would give us a much better chance of securing the £50m p/a you get from the CL.  And we spent all his fee on just 2 players ourselves.

How many top flight strikers of champions league level quality who were for sale and would also fit well with our squad culture were you expecting to get for £130m like ?

It’s not like shopping in the yellow sticker whoopsie aisle at Heron Foods ya knaa

It's a bad move for everyone concerned. We've lost our best striker, Liverpool waste a huge amount of money on a player who won't reach the heights he has in recent seasons and the player regresses

From watching Liverpool when they’ve been on TV, Etitike looks a far better player for them than Isak.

Isak regularly wants the ball in the box, he’s not someone to drop deep and link play and be happy with that. Whilst Etitike is the opposite, he’s happy to drop and link play, and overall better at it.

He’ll score some goals, but I really believe he’ll be 2nd choice this season as the preferred XI is settled upon by Slot. Just can’t do it yet as he’s a club record signing so has to try and fit him in. He’ll be an issue for him by end of the season, as you don’t spend £125m and like £300k pw wages on someone to be a back up, and neither does someone who’s on that is happy to be that.
