Still don't see how we sell, we don't have enough time to replace his goals in the team.

We don't, its awful timing, however when a player pushes to go, they tend to get their way.

I think there's still a chance that's the case.

I imagine there's a sticking point though, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's to do with a release clause.

They're probably fine with the number we've offered but provided there's a release clause included, and if we're not willing to add that, then maybe it would have to be a much higher figure like the one that's been rumoured.

And I think that’s fair.  He wouldn’t want to Harry Kane his career.

He’s long overdue a payrise.  And if he continues to perform and we can’t compete he should be allowed to leave. £120m release clause if we don’t qualify for the CL £160m if we do. Something like that seems fair.

Not entirely but we shouldn’t even allow him to speak to Liverpool and we don’t have to absolutely match their offer. He must understand where we’re at and that there’s 3 years left on his deal.

At the end of the day that's the biggest card we hold. He still has 3 years left on his contract and we can't be bullied into a sale. Although I suspect Howe will not want him around if his head is elsewhere, then it's just a case of getting the biggest fee possible.

Yes. All the evidence to how we’ve approached injuries (and what we say about them) points towards this being more serious than lead to believe, rather than him heading off which the evidence says otherwise in how we’ve dealt with things in past.

We wanted to keep Wilson, we’ve been desperate for a clear established named striker from word go, whilst a formation change is one thing it’s also with a strong indication that all is not good with Isak rest to have his groin issue magically disappear.

Ok so we now know you were wrong. This is grade a COPE.

That Hope article couldn't cover all its bases if it tried like.

Has to pay the bills, doesn't he.

Gets all the rage from Newcastle fans and hope from Liverpool fans. Two clinically online fanbases.

Ah well ... at least this is all cleared up now. It was all too confusing man.

Can this man please just have the decency not to go to fucking Liverpool.

This should at least now let us know who has interest, and who comes to the table. Praying for a PSG move.

Don't really blame him tbh. But again, if he's going it needs to be abroad. Selling him to Liverpool would be completely unacceptable

We were always going to lose him, but the way it's gone down is a fucking sickener.

no mention of a source or anything in Hope’s article. Not even like “a club insider informed us” or anything, just “we can reveal”.

shit journalism either way
